As a Principal Environmental Scientist in the Contaminated Land Assessment and Remediation Section, you will take an active role in leading the delivery of projects. This will include technical guidance for mid-level and junior staff in order to support the successful execution of projects. You will seek to provide mentoring to more junior staff in relation to the broad skills required of a consultant, both technical and softer skills. You will take an active role in business development, responsible for building client relationships that secure repeat work and new work that supports your own personal pipeline as well as that of others in the team. More specifically, this role will include the following tasks that will be performed with support from other members of the team as appropriate:

The Principal Design Manager – Dams must have a good understanding in managing complex engineering design packages relating to the design of dam safety upgrades, new dams, and all associated works to support an overall dam safety program.

Responsible for implementing Jacobs QA procedures and Client QA requirements.

Monitoring and reporting of project progress, risks and issues. Hands on design management including civil, geotechnical, geological, mechanical, electrical and structural engineering disciplines.

Facilitate the production of documentation to enable construction.

Ensure project work complies with the project scope of works, statutory/regulatory requirements and client standards. Support field work of clients and their contractors during commissioning.

Managing the review of drawings and documents by Senior Designers and Engineers in various groups.

Preparation of cost estimates and drawing lists for projects. You will support your PU to ensure it can thrive in a global setting, encouraging cross-geography relationships in order to maximise the benefit of global delivery to our clients and our people

We have a diverse base of water clients across the region and this role will contribute to setting and implementing strategy and capability for this client base, with support from our global technical leads.

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for providing consultancy and engineering services in the Water market in the ANZ region.

• Deliver technically excellent process engineering designs and consultancy services. Carry out independently design/review/assurance on Projects.

• Assist with driving business development and be responsible for work winning, identify the next opportunities and support the win of the opportunities

• Bid preparation and submittals as required, support section leader, project managers in the delivery of financially successful projects.

• Develop and maintain strong key client relationships – act as a trusted advisor to a select group of Jacobs key clients across the public and private sector.

• Keep abreast of new methods and developments impacting Jacobs in order to recommend change to current or new direction. Track and contribute to industry developments, ensuring Jacobs is applying the latest technical developments.

• Collaborate closely with Jacobs’s client management team to identify emerging opportunities with clients • Assist with and manage projects delivering on cost, on time, and resulting in client satisfaction. Provide design management functions on projects.

• Maintain compliance with Jacobs QA procedures, including the deliverables review QA process.

• Mentor and facilitate the technical development of more junior resources to meet market requirements.

• Promote safety culture within the organisation and with our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead multi-disciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, and project controls personnel, to deliver outstanding project outcomes.
• Manage concept and feasibility studies, including cost estimating and scheduling for wind power projects.
• Oversee detailed designs and provide support during construction and commissioning phases of wind power projects.
• Drive a strong safety culture and implement QA procedures on major projects.
• Manage commercial aspects such as contracts, timelines, costs, and change management while ensuring project governance and financial performance.
• Act as an Owner's Engineer or client representative when required.
• Foster business development, including proposal creation and maintaining client relationships.
• Mentor junior project managers and contribute to resource optimisation through integrated delivery teams.

Responsibilities:

• Manage targets, timelines, resources, strategy alignment, and communications associated with T&S Emergency projects

• Develop partnerships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance

• Lead development of multi-year plans compliance plan to ensure PG&E is meeting or exceeding regulatory commitments and requirements

• Lead creative resolution of program risks and issues identified

• Ensure appropriate project documentation governance, as necessary. Actively managing and ensuring timely documented completion of all T&S Emergency project deemed high priority.

• Lead of random quality checks/reviews on closed out T&S Emergency projects and orders in SAP

• Responsible for proactively managing regional compliance and escalating exceptions

• Facilitates all data request responses/responsibilities as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Structural design of bridges design for both local and global projects being delivered from the team
• Design management for projects and design packages
• Accountable for the quality (technical and presentation) of the deliverables that are prepared and submitted
• Accountable for Submission of the project deliveries to the scheduled timeframe
• Liaising with CAD teams & Engineers in other offices
