• Designing, simulating, and testing high-speed optical modulators for 50+Gbaud in Si or IIIV, active components such as heaters or carrier injection devices, passive silicon photonic devices, or other material systems and devices including micro-ring, Mach-Zehnder, and electro-absorption modulators.
• Optical/RF design and simulation tools such as Sentaurus, Silvaco, HFSS, ADS, Lumerical (FDTD, MODE, DEVICE, Interconnect), RSoft, Tidy3D, Harold-Photon Design, or numerical simulation tools such as Matlab or python.

- 3+ years of experience in development of silicon photonics ICs from concept to high volume manufacturing
