This is a 2-year program and part-time position. Working hours will be 20-32 hours a week during the school year and up to 40 hours a week on breaks/summers; with flexible hours around a student's school schedule while still in alignment with one of the following factory shifts: • Shift 5: (Day): Sunday through Tuesday (every other Wednesday) 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM • Shift 7: (Day): Thursday through Saturday (every other Wednesday) 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM What You'll Do (and more): • The position will be hands-on, training on-site with factory floor presence. • Perform functions associated with all wafer production including operations, equipment, process, and training. • Run product in a safe and qualitative manner, multi-tasking, following procedures while executing to output goals. • Equipment maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, defect reduction, and other duties as required, supporting fab objectives. • Work from technical manuals, specifications, drawings/diagrams, and schematics, as well as follow, comprehend, and complete verbal and written instructions and procedures. • Deliver clear and concise status updates to peers and participate in resolving sustaining issues. • Communicate with people at different levels of the organization including module technicians, managers, engineers, and others as needed. Expectations: • Must be willing to lift 25 lbs. This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching. • Spend most of the work time (more than 90 percent less break time) in a clean room environment working on equipment, processing wafers, and standing or sitting for extended periods of time. • Work in a clean room environment wearing a gown, hood, booties, safety glasses, and gloves for the duration of the shift. • Perform Preventative Maintenance or troubleshooting on production equipment. • Perform detailed visual inspection tasks. • Use job-specific fixtures, basic hand tools, and potentially airline-supplied respirators.Qualifications: You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience. The Far Back End and Sort Organization (FSO) is looking for a Module Equipment Technician in FBE.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in nonfunctioning equipment used in the manufacturing process.
  • Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and installs/assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, and rough sketches or drawings.
  • Performs setup, calibration, and preventative maintenance on production equipment, and coordinates with supplier for service and repairs where needed.
  • Monitors and analyzes all related data to improve and maintain tool performance and address all tool/module related issues.
  • Creates reports of system failures, updates existing specs, and creates new specs that supports overall equipmentmaintenance/performance.
  • Works with Module Engineering to execute experiments and equipment configuration changes, supports data collection activities, and generally completes tasks per published procedures.
  • Supports Engineering with module equipment troubleshooting through data analysis and controlled experimentation that will meet or improve module availability and performance targets preventing future excursions.
  • During factory ramps, works with module engineering and construction teams to ensure tools are installed and/or converted per designs.

The Far Back End and Sort Organization (FSO) is looking for a Remote Operations Center (ROC) Technician.

A Remote Operations Center (ROC) Manufacturing Technician (MT) is responsible for managing factory operations in a technical development (TD) and high-volume manufacturing (HVM) facility from centralized computer workstations off the manufacturing floor.

Job responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

-Plan and execute production and ENG/TD material movement across all processes in FSO from a given remote workstation

-Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot all material flows adhering to safety, quality, and output values

-Understand and perform complex production instructions with inputs from multiple stakeholders

-Improve workstation performance by actively participating in continuous improvement projects, learning and skill development.

This requisition is filling multiple slots:

-Shift 4:(Nights front-end) 7 PM - 7:30 AM Sunday-Tuesday and alternating Saturdays.

-Shift 6: (Nights back-end) 7 PM-7:30 AM Wednesday - Friday and alternating Saturdays.

-Shift 7:(Days Back-end) 7 AM -7:30 PM Thursday-Saturday and alternating Wednesdays.

-Judgment and initiative are required in resolving complex nonstandard problems and developing recommendations

Minimum Requirements: • Currently enrolled in second year Microelectronics program pursuing an associate degree, Technical, orfields, with successful completion of foundational courses.• Available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during factory operations. We offer flexible scheduling across day and night shifts with compressed work weeks (12-hour shifts, 3-4 days per week) to accommodate various life circumstancesPreferred Qualifications: • Completion of your first year Microelectronics courses preferably with a minimum 3.0 GPA.• Basic knowledge in any of the following areas: electronics, equipment troubleshooting, installation, repair, and operations. • Experience performing hands-on work such as auto repair, welding, soldering, robotics, and crafting.
