As a Sr. Accountant, Controllership here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in the finance team, supporting the controllership function for the Industrial Automation segment. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting policies and internal controls, and driving the financial close processes. Your expertise in financial analysis and reporting will provide valuable insights and recommendations to support decision-making. This role reports to the Assistant Controller.

This job may sit in eitheroron a hybrid schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accounting operations: Monthly close activities, reporting and account analysis for the Industrial Automation segment. Partner with regional shared service centers. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with accounting policies.
• Business partnership: Support transactions and provide financial analysis and accounting insight to achieve desired business and accounting outcomes.
• Financial reporting: Prepare schedules used in the quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes.
• Audit and Controls: Respond to audit requests and inquiries supporting quarterly and annual financial statements as well as SOX and compliance testing.
• Special projects: Execute projects such as support of acquisition or divestiture transactions and finance functional transformation

YOU MUST HAVE

• CPA or equivalent certification (or actively working toward credentialing)
• 2+ years of experience in a large public accounting firm

• Overall end-to-end owner of accounting, control and compliance for assigned entities incl journal & account recon approvals. Understanding technical accounting aspects such as project accounting, revenue and cost accounting, assessment and distributions

• Perform TB Flux during Month end close & leverage standard analytics tools to identify issues or anomalies

Business Partnership and Process Improvement:

• Maintain transparent accounting/process practices, ensuring excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and work with the transformation leader to execute them.
• Partner with business on new initiatives and join projects.
• Manage ad-hoc queries from business and other stakeholders.
• Provide financial reports, analysis, explanations and advice based on knowledge of financial info, relevant GAAP & supporting SAP systems to SBU/auditors

YOU MUST HAVE

• Required: 3-5 Years of Related Work Experience (Public Accounting or Manufacturing Accounting), handling financial statements of manufacturing companies.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting (Accounting Preferred) or finance or equivalent.
• Must be US Citizen
• Strong technical and analytical skills, Strong communication with leaders and internal customers, with a project mindset and ability to identify opportunities and lead projects.
• Must work autonomously
