Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.
• Coordinating the procurement of supplied products required for production
• Conducting supplier background checks and requesting price quotations
• Preparing and issuing Purchase Orders (POs)
• Cooperating closely with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
• Ensuring that procurement processes are standardized and follow internal policies
• Daily communication and relationship management with the supplier base
• Maintaining and updating supplier records
• Contract negotiations and contract management
• Daily tracking of required raw materials and components
• Coordination and development of work processes to support efficient operations

• The job requires good interpersonal skills. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.

Desired Characteristics:

• Technical degree or qualification
• Logistics experience is an advantage
• Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

All on site life extensions, repairs and inspection-related service activities for installed fleets and supervision for construction and commissioning of new and existing equipment, able to be performed at customer site. Includes onsite machining, NDT, blading, winding, critical welding, generator diagnostics. Able to make Engineering decisions.
• Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
• Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
• Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
• Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.

Required Qualifications

• This role requires basic experience in the Services & Field Services.
• Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience)
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

•
