The High Voltage Electrical Distribution Systems Design and Release (HV EDS D&R) Engineer is responsible for the design, development, validation, and release of the High Voltage (HV) wiring harnesses under their responsibility. This role involves a comprehensive understanding of electrical engineering principles, high voltage safety, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams from concept to production. The HV EDS D&R Engineer will also be responsible for driving design improvements that lead to increased quality and optimizations in cost and weight. The ideal candidate will ensure that all high voltage designs meet performance, cost, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements for the product.

In this position...
The candidate will work with internal and external customers to develop competitive cost & weight efficient designs. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible to engineer the required CAD and lead analytical and physical analysis to deliver a system that will meet all prescribed requirements. As the program matures, responsibilities will shift to product testing, delivering PSW, and launching within one of Fordโs many assembly plants.
