In this department we use engine dynamometers to test and validate these attributes. Our work includes optimization of engine control settings to improve fuel economy and performance, validating the engines durability by performing cycle-based testing, and establishing advertised power and torque for regulatory agencies and marketing. This is a hands-on job that allows individuals to work directly with engine hardware.
