Career & Performance Specialist – LEAD (Leadership, Evaluational and Development)

Your key responsibilities

LEAD deployment

Working as part of a team, deliver the LEAD performance management framework to employees and Partners, including:

  • Planning and execution of mid-year and year-end performance review processes and experience
  • Development of LEAD performance management communications to the Talent community, Counsellors and employees
  • Management of data coming out of and into EY systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy including preparing and distributing data and reports according to Global and Local protocols
  • Manage the process to validate and update employee relationships as required
  • Collation of data outputs from Talent Reviews
  • Managing the LEAD mailbox and responding to queries
  • Support planning and execution of the PPEDD (Partner, Principal, Executive Director and Director) performance evaluation process.
  • Ensuring International Standard on Quality Management (ISQM) requirements are adhered to and evidenced as required

Continuous Improvement

  • Using materials provided by Global, develop local processes to deliver on the Global framework
  • Produce briefing materials for stakeholders on process updates and changes
  • Support the measurement and evaluation of processes to identify efficiencies and ongoing improvements in the delivery of the LEAD performance management framework and experience of the Talent function and our people. Identify and participate in various projects to support ongoing LEAD performance management improvements, including looking for opportunities to leverage technology to support efficiencies and experience enhancements. This may include process automation or the use of AI to achieve efficiencies.

Relationship Management

  • Act as a subject matter expert and point of contact for the business and other talent functions on matters relating to LEAD
  • Build close working relationships with colleagues across the wider Talent function to deliver an integrated service

Contribution to wider Talent Development and/or Talent priorities

  • Support the Talent Development function by undertaking other operational activities and projects which deliver enhanced value to stakeholders
  • Support the induction of new team members
  • Take on other functional activities e.g. supporting the organisation of team meetings/events or contributing to broader projects as required.

To qualify for the role, you must have

Security Technology and Operations Support


To understand and assist in the technologies supporting threat and risk monitoring, business resilience, physical security, insider threat, travel security, meeting & event security, and executive protection. Support the technology measuring compliance of EY’s Global Security Policy. This includes, but not limited to the following:

  • Meeting with function owners to understand business requirements
  • Collaborating with function owners to identify suitable technology solutions considering both third party software packages and custom development of internal solutions
  • Translating business requirements into technical specifications and user stories
  • Assisting in the management of development efforts and the deployment of business solutions
  • Assisting with the configuration and ongoing maintenance of deployed business solutions
  • Assist Global Security Leader in identifying where processes can be enhanced by use of AI
  • Serve as subject matter expert representing Global Security on calls with technical teams, including making certain that proposed AI solutions are fit for purpose and using the most appropriate technology

Physical Security Technology Enablement


To assist the Physical Security Lead in developing, deploying, and managing processes with supporting technology to safeguard people and physical assets at EY offices. This includes, but not limited to the following:

  • Explain and interpret physical security polices and standards to a wide variety of audiences
  • Support region resources in applying policy and standard recommendations to new offices
  • Support technical teams to ensure that technical solutions are meeting policy requirements
  • Supervise the annual physical security self-assessments and detailed assessments
  • Develop reporting based on the results from physical assessments


Supervision Responsibilities:


Individual must be a self-starter, capable of readily managing and switching between multiple tasks and working with minimal supervision. Given the nature of the role, flexibility in schedule is required. The role currently does not contemplate any direct supervision of others.


Technical Skills

  • Familiar with Agile and modified Agile development processes
  • Ability to read and understand basic source code Proficient in Archer or other EGRC software
  • Familiar with Graph API, Power Flows, Azure and working with Microsoft 365 products
  • Familiar in using third party APIs to interact with external systems to pass and retrieve data and trigger events
  • Proficient with reading API documentation from third parties to understand what functionality is available and how it can be accessed
  • Highly developed Microsoft Teams skills including integration with other Microsoft 365 components
  • Some experience with User Interface / User Experience design for simplicity and ease of use is desired

AI & Automation Awareness

  • Understanding of how to use AI to streamline manual processes
  • Understanding of how AI/ML can be applied in security and resilience domains

Your Role

You’ll work alongside clients and colleagues, balancing your time across client onboarding activities, Supporting the adoption of ITTS tax tools in target markets and enhancing client awareness through sales enablement activities. Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Client onboarding role of GloBE Engine clients and acting as the pinpoint between the SaaS CoE ITTS leadership, product, support and client teams.

  • Liaise with local GTM/Sales teams

  • Participate in champions calls to showcase tool advancements, address challenges, and share success stories.
  • Represent the ‘Voice of the Customer', surfacing key product and business insights to help drive innovation for EY’s COE teams, i.e., Product, Marketing, Implementation, Support, etc.
  • Assist member firms with pursuits, demonstrations, commercial discussions, and technical inquiries related to GloBE Engine.

Your Key Responsibilities


The Global Law Market Enablement (ME) role is an Associate Director-ranked role. The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Collaborating with senior leadership to define go-to market efforts and align them with both Law, Global Tax and EY’s overall strategy.
  • Coordinating with global account teams to enhance Law positioning on top pursuits.
  • Driving the development of, and deploying, go-to-market materials to educate account teams on strategic offerings and initiatives.
  • Overseeing Global Law enablement efforts (e.g., proposals, win/client success stories).
  • Monitoring industry developments, client feedback, trends and market share to recommend improvements and innovations in business strategy and management.
  • Providing thought leadership and insights on key issues impacting Law clients.
  • Identifying and allocating resources effectively, including personnel, budget, and technology, to support go-to-market initiatives.
  • Coordinate with xSL/xSSL teams to increase internal collaboration.
  • Teaming with BMC, Sector and Market teams to elevate the brand, building awareness both internally and externally, ensuring Law is represented in priority campaigns and growth initiatives.
  • Collaborating with key functions such as Talent, Finance, BMC, Knowledge Insights and Operations to ensure cohesive strategy execution and alignment.
  • Communicating with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders and project teams across multiple countries to ensure alignment and address any concerns, while navigating diverse cultural contexts and ensuring sensitivity to local practices and regulations.
  • The position holder will perform other responsibilities and tasks as required to achieve the agreed performance outcomes.
  • Analytical/decision making responsibilities:
    • Development of recommendations for strategic direction and/or ability to assist in problem solving as strategic issues arise.
    • Proactively anticipates problems before they occur, defines the problems, and identifies the possible/apparent causes.
    • Makes key decisions and suggestions based on a solid understanding of the firm’s business objectives and own experience/knowledge.
    • Uses reasoning to develop alternatives and recommendations for key decisions.
    • Ability and authority to resolve challenges related to specific projects that are of varying complexity.
  • Knowledge and skills requirements:
    • Must be proactive and a self-starter capable of translating strategy into tactical execution.
    • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of EY’s organization, strategy and culture.
    • Expertise in managing market growth and enablement activities.
    • Able to effectively navigate EY’s matrix organization to access, inform and engage the right people at the right time.
    • Good understanding of the EY Tax practice and SSLs including growth drivers, sectors and solutions.
    • Demonstrates knowledge, skills and abilities concerning global business fundamentals, ethics and cross-cultural/geographical sensitivities.
    • Strategic thinking; ability to connect, identify less obvious opportunities, create impact without explicit direction.
    • Team player with strong leadership, people management and interpersonal/relationship skills aligned to the firm’s culture and values.
    • Strong skills and prior experience with work across geographically dispersed virtual teams
    • Highly seasoned project management skills and experience with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple strategic, complex projects and initiatives simultaneously. Must be well organized to drive initiatives forward across a varied set of stakeholders and deadlines.
    • Proven ability to work closely with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels, including senior leaders, to influence and deliver desired outcomes. Exceptional written and verbal communication, listening, and interpretation skills enable effective presentation and consultation. Adept at collaborating with varied personalities and work styles, while maintaining professionalism and integrity, especially in time-sensitive initiatives.
    • Excellent attention to detail with a proven track record in supporting executive teams in a high-performing environment and ability to collaborate/develop thought leadership content.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as pragmatism to drive outcomes that are both financially sound and operationally feasible.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with high technology skills.
  • Supervision responsibilities:
    • Responsible for coaching and developing other team members and ensuring the core team collaborate and work effectively together.
    • Directing other team members to support with delivery of high standard materials.
    • Responsible for executing the strategic direction and operational excellence of Law and Tax, acting as role model to others.

Education:

  • University/Bachelor’s degree in Law/Tax/Commerce/Business Management or related field.
  • Additional professional qualifications, such as PRINCE2® or PMP, are desirable.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in a professional services firm or large global organization in an advisory role.
  • Considerable experience of operating and influencing across multiple levels of an organization and working with global virtue teams/networks.
  • Project management experience and excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with a track record in managing complex stakeholder programs.
  • Good understanding of project governance and change management principles.
  • Understanding of P&L and general firm financials.

Global role based in EMEIA timezone; will require flexibility to work across time zones. Limited travel might be required.

Career & Performance Specialist – LEAD (Leadership, Evaluational and Development)

Level 2: Senior Associate

Hybrid working: Currently 1-2 days per week in the office, some travel

Your key responsibilities

LEAD deployment

Working as part of a team, deliver the LEAD performance management framework to employees and Partners, including:

  • Planning and execution of mid-year and year-end performance review processes and experience
  • Development of LEAD performance management communications to the Talent community, Counsellors and employees
  • Management of data coming out of and into EY systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy including preparing and distributing data and reports according to Global and Local protocols
  • Manage the process to validate and update employee relationships as required
  • Collation of data outputs from Talent Reviews
  • Managing the LEAD mailbox and responding to queries
  • Support planning and execution of the PPEDD (Partner, Principal, Executive Director and Director) performance evaluation process.
  • Ensuring International Standard on Quality Management (ISQM) requirements are adhered to and evidenced as required

Continuous Improvement

  • Using materials provided by Global, develop local processes to deliver on the Global framework
  • Produce briefing materials for stakeholders on process updates and changes
  • Support the measurement and evaluation of processes to identify efficiencies and ongoing improvements in the delivery of the LEAD performance management framework and experience of the Talent function and our people. Identify and participate in various projects to support ongoing LEAD performance management improvements, including looking for opportunities to leverage technology to support efficiencies and experience enhancements. This may include process automation or the use of AI to achieve efficiencies.

Relationship Management

  • Act as a subject matter expert and point of contact for the business and other talent functions on matters relating to LEAD
  • Build close working relationships with colleagues across the wider Talent function to deliver an integrated service

Contribution to wider Talent Development and/or Talent priorities

  • Support the Talent Development function by undertaking other operational activities and projects which deliver enhanced value to stakeholders
  • Support the induction of new team members
  • Take on other functional activities e.g. supporting the organisation of team meetings/events or contributing to broader projects as required.

  • Ability to work autonomously to translate messages and content themes into communications, presentations, stakeholder collateral, etc. being proactive in your thinking on how to best deliver key messages
  • Strong organisation, and project management skills to identify and work to deadlines and milestones , proactively
  • Ideally a working understanding of the processes, systems and handoffs across the Talent functions, including Talent Development, Talent Consulting, Talent Shared Services, Reward
  • Takes ownership of professional growth and maintains learning and relevance in the role
  • Coaching skills for mentoring and developing junior colleagues.

To qualify for the role, you must have

Experience of working in a large and diverse professional services or corporate environment

Experience of working in Talent or Talent Development preferred

Ideally, you’ll also have

Experience of working in a data and technology centric environment (e.g. analysis, reporting, etc.)
