Your key responsibilities

  • You will accompany organizations in the implementation of company-wide transformation programs - from initial assessments and strategy development to full implementation (people, process, and technology)
  • You will support CPOs in implementing transformations in Procurement as the world becomes digital, consumer needs change and the shape of the Procurement fundamentally changes.
  • You will work with clients to develop, deliver and become a trusted advisor in the next generation of Procurement and third party risk management
  • You will work on the digital procurement and third party risk management transformation of your clients as well as advising them on how to continue to drive top line and bottom-line improvements
  • You will leverage existing ( E.g. Ariba, Coupa, Icertis, Ivalua etc), emerging and new technologies (e.g., GenAi) to deliver these transformations
  • You will work on mergers and acquisitions and identifying and delivering supplier synergies as well as integrating end to end procurement and tprm teams, processes, and solutions
  • You will work on identifying third party risk management opportunities with a good understanding of the regulatory landscape (e.g. OSFI B-10, E-21 etc)
  • You will be key contributor and progressively start leading sub work streams in client engagements and will work in multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., Accounts Payable, Legal, Risk Domains, and Enterprise Risk) to deliver high quality services in line with our proven global methodologies and tools
  • You will support the business in developing EY knowledge and concepts for our practice, whilst also actively establishing, maintaining and strengthening internal and external relationships
  • You will build your management consulting and Procurement capabilities to become a valued contributor to our clients’ transformations and for your own personal career journey

Engagement Management:

  • Lead pursuits, sales, and client relationship building
  • Lead the design and implementation of strategic procurement and third party risk management programs for financial services clients
  • Deliver exceptional client service experience while advising on complex process issues
  • Display leadership and business judgment in anticipating client/project needs and developing alternative and innovative solutions
  • Be the direct point of contact for client and team, own and grow appropriate client relationships
  • Manage project financials including development of budget and resource plans on projects and day-today client interactions

Practice and People Development:

  • Support the development of leading practice Procurement capabilities at EY
  • Create a positive team environment and provide coaching and support for junior staff
  • Support senior management with practice development activities such as recruiting

Business Development:

  • Support the build-out of the Procurement and TPRM Financial Services practice across EY Canada.
  • Collaborate across EY service lines to support business development opportunities

  • Subject matter expertise in one, or more, of Category Management/Strategic Sourcing, Contract Management, Supplier Relationship Management or Procure 2 Pay processes
  • Demonstrated ability to guide large project teams and stakeholder groups through complex procurement process design and operating model implications

This role supports an important strategic inorganic growth objective of the firm as part of our All-In Strategy. In addition to the CDO, you will be a core member of our Strategic Investment Office, working closely with various areas of the business involved in:

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Deal Sourcing, Target Analysis and Administration
  • Work with our business leaders across Service Lines, Sub-service lines, Competencies, Industry Groups and Sectors to understand the areas of strategic priority for inorganic growth.

  • Help plan and execute due diligence and day 1 readiness activities, coordinating across multiple internal workstreams and target leadership.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Target leadership, in many cases acting as a single point of contact.
  • Manage and maintain transaction documentation: project kick-off materials, org charts, timeline & milestone charts, status updates, meeting notes, action logs, confidentiality NDA logs, etc.
  • Identify, document, and manage program risks, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and appropriate actions are taken.
  • Coordinate team meetings with multiple internal stakeholders and target leadership.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Knowledge of English at intermediate level or above

  • Knowledge of local GAAP (Romanian accounting) and basic knowledge of IFRS

Your key responsibilities:

As a Senior Manager in our team, you’ll advise clients across software and tech-enabled services sectors, supporting in developing and executing strategies for transactions, use your knowledge and enthusiasm to apply your technical skills across the M&A transaction lifecycle; ranging from diligence to technology strategy assignments including pre-deal diligence, portfolio review and post deal value creation engagements.

  • Leading pre deal, post deal, value creation engagements with clients across all sectors including private equity across North America.
  • Senior Managers manage an engagement’s successful execution, lead the engagement team and work directly with clients. Across each engagement, a Senior Manager will
  • lead and direct the analysis approach, coach/ mentor team members, identify areas of necessary industry research, interview industry experts, conduct qualitative and
  • quantitative investigation, and lead discussions with our clients
  • Lead discussions to develop hypotheses, insights, and key findings critical to the engagement
  • Executing qualitative and quantitative reviews (e.g., R&D Spend analysis, feature functionality benchmarking, competitor studies, organizational capabilities, technology capabilities) to support the formulation and validation of strategic recommendations
  • Conducting in-depth interviews with key organizational stakeholders, industry experts and customers
  • Contribute to people initiatives; mentoring, coaching, recruiting, retaining and training staff.

Desirable knowledge and experience:

  • A master’s or bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with outstanding academic performance (Computer science or similar field would be a plus) and 6+ years of software-related work experience (strategy consulting work experience a plus)
  • Any prior experience as functional head (e.g. CTO, CPO, CIO, Head of Engineering) within a software company, or the software function of a more traditional company, especially product management, software engineering, data science or DevOps, and ideally with recognized industry expertise would be a bonus
  • Experience of transactions, ideally in performing of Technology Due Diligence and/or strategic value creation assignments (AI diligence experience is a plus)
  • Ability to comment on technology aspects of transactions that are relevant and valued by clients and readers of Product and Technology Due Diligence reports
    Program and project management expertise with demonstrable experience in managing and being responsible for the delivery of successful programs
  • Demonstrable experience or knowledge of structured methodologies and industry standards for Product Management, UI/UX design principles, Software Architecture, Software
  • Development Life Cycle methods and the ability to provide insights based on experience
  • Ability to analyze and assess software design artifacts such as architecture diagrams, software manifests, and user experience flows
  • Proficient in the English language, including the ability to listen, understand, read and communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, in a professional environment
  • Report writing skills to convert valuable software-related insights into due diligence (DD) reports for consumption by stakeholders, ensuring clarity and actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent problem solving, project management, facilitation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to make detailed assessments of industry, products, markets, competitors and customers to identify risks and opportunities
  • Effective organization and time management skills with ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines

Your key responsibilities

  • You will accompany organizations in the implementation of company-wide transformation programs - from initial assessments and strategy development to full implementation (people, process, and technology)
  • You will support CPOs in implementing transformations in Procurement as the world becomes digital, consumer needs change and the shape of the Procurement fundamentally changes.
  • You will work with clients to develop, deliver and become a trusted advisor in the next generation of Procurement and third party risk management
  • You will work on the digital procurement and third party risk management transformation of your clients as well as advising them on how to continue to drive top line and bottom-line improvements

  • You will work on identifying third party risk management opportunities with a good understanding of the regulatory landscape (e.g. OSFI B-10, E-21 etc)
  • You will be key contributor and progressively start leading sub work streams in client engagements and will work in multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., Accounts Payable, Legal, Risk Domains, and Enterprise Risk) to deliver high quality services in line with our proven global methodologies and tools
  • You will support the business in developing EY knowledge and concepts for our practice, whilst also actively establishing, maintaining and strengthening internal and external relationships
  • You will build your management consulting and Procurement capabilities to become a valued contributor to our clients’ transformations and for your own personal career journey

Engagement Management:

  • Lead pursuits, sales, and client relationship building
