Your key responsibilities

  • Work within project teams to undertake valuations of businesses, equity interests, financial instruments and intangible assets. Your work will be for various purposes including pre- and post- transaction advisory, tax-related purposes, financial reporting such as purchase price allocations, impairment testing, and employee share schemes, and disputes.
  • Support the delivery of valuation projects. This includes preparing valuation models and reports, including analysis of business value drivers and commercial rationale, industry analysis and market benchmarking, cost of capital analysis, identifying strategic value creation opportunities and other capital optimisation advise, and developing detailed financial models with various scenarios.
  • Think critically, identify issues and propose strategies related to the advice being provided.
  • Train and support junior team members to build both their technical capabilities and interpersonal skills.

  • A degree in finance, economics, accounting or business, with demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Direct experience utilising various valuation techniques and methodologies (cost of capital analysis, market comparables, discounted cash flow, etc) for different purposes
  • Experience in financial modelling in MS Excel and related software preferred
  • Experience conducting valuations for accounting and or tax planning purposes is desired
  • Excellent analytical, communication, organisational, interpersonal, and teaming skills
