Your key responsibilities

  • Client Engagement & Strategic Leadership: Leads the Government experience effort to enhance satisfaction and gather insights, spending approximately 80% of time externally focused with Government stakeholders, acting as a proxy for Global Client Relationship Partners, and driving exceptional client experiences and pursuit leadership.
  • Account & Revenue Planning: Oversees strategic and tactical account planning to support long-term growth and revenue targets for EY, including pipeline hygiene, forecasting accuracy, and participation in budget cycles. Supports must-win opportunities through coordination across Markets and reporting to the Oceania Markets Board.
  • Enablement & Investment Management: Defines long-term investment needs for account delivery, supports Client Service Partners in accessing and managing resources, builds strategies, and ensures alignment with EY programs and insight loops through collaboration with the Account Manager and cross-market teams.

Description

Within FSRM, the Market Risk (MR) team assists clients to design and implement strategic and functional changes across risk management, treasury, front office, middle office, and back-office activities with a focus on risk and valuation processes, regulatory compliance, analytics, strategy, and organizational structure. Practical implementation knowledge of risk and capital management is a key competency of MR, focused on regulatory capital, market and counterparty credit risk management and broker-dealer capital requirements. Clients include large domestic and global financial institutions, broker-dealers, foreign banking organizations, asset management firms and insurance companies with significant capital markets activities. Project teams frequently work with the senior management of these firms, including CFOs and CROs

Skills and attributes for success

  • Demonstrate deep technical capability and industry knowledge of financial products
  • Lead components of large-scale client engagements and/or smaller client engagements while consistently delivering quality client services
  • Understand market trends and demands in the financial services sector and issues faced by clients by staying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business
  • Monitor progress, manage risk, and effectively communicate with key stakeholders regarding status, issues and key priorities to achieve expected outcomes
  • Play an active role in mentoring junior consultants within the organization

To qualify for the role, you should have

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, engineering or a related discipline and approximately 5-6 years of related/relevant work experience; or a master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Management or a related field and at least 6+ years of work experience in the Financial Services industry
  • Relevant experience in the financial services industry with either a consulting firm, internal consulting organization, or within front office or market risk, counterparty risk, or related areas at leading financial services institutions in the following areas:
    • Capital markets functions
    • Quantitative analytics
    • Front office sales and trading
    • Front office risk management
    • Market risk management
    • Basel 2.5 capital requirements for Market risk
    • Counterparty credit risk
    • Margin and Collateral Management
    • CCAR and Stress Testing
    • IBOR Transition
    • Risk governance, risk appetite, risk identification, risk monitoring, risk measurements (limits, Greeks) and risk reporting
    • Capital management and associated regulatory requirements with Basel III and FRTB
  • Demonstrate derivatives product knowledge across asset classes including interest rates, credit, equity, commodity, and FX, including but not limited to pricing and valuation
  • Analyse and evaluate business systems and user needs. Document requirements define scope and objectives and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies.
  • Hands on experience with JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, MS Teams would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, strong problem solving and solution development skills

Good-to-have:

  • Certifications such as FRM, CQF , CFA, PRM
  • Pricing/Risk management system knowledge/experience – Calypso, SunGard Adaptive, Murex, Numeric, Bloomberg, Risk Metrics, Spectrum, EQF, etc.
  • Willingness to travel to meet client needs

Some of your key responsibilities

  • Strategically organize and manage complex diaries, including travel and accommodation

  • Prepare and revise documents including presentations, emails, reports, and agendas

What we’re looking for

  • A minimum of 2 years' work experience as an administrative or team assistant, who is looking for the next step to becoming an executive assistant
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • A decisive team player with the ability to navigate multiple teams with sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters
  • High motivation and the ability to work under pressure while managing stakeholder expectations
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and confidence with dealing with all different types of stakeholders
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office suites and practical experience with technology and software associated with travel bookings, expense processing, customer management and workflow
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • A self-starter who is comfortable taking the initiative and leading projects to successful completion
