Gen AI Software Principal Engineer

The Velocity Engineering group in PowerFlex leverages GenAI and DevOps automations to implement optimized engineering workflows.

As a Senior Gen AI Software Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of AI-powered backend and agentic workflows that transform how our engineering teams develop, build, test, and operate at scale. You will drive technical direction, mentor others, and champion cross-team initiatives in areas such as CI/CD optimization, observability, and knowledge discovery.

You will:

• Architect and implement Gen AI solutions and workflows that leverage LLMs to enhance engineering productivity
• Guide design decisions and influence technical direction across global teams
• Develop and optimize RAG pipelines, embedding strategies, and secure MCP server integrations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, AI-powered engineering solutions

Essential Requirements

• Deep experience in backend and DevOps/platform engineering, with strong architectural judgment

You will:

• Contribute to the design and architecture of high-quality, complex systems with a focus on Kubernetes and OpenShift Container Platform, for a Gen AI infrastructure solution.
• Prepare, review, and evaluate software specifications for products and systems, paying close attention to detail in authentication and authorization technologies.
• Write, review, and maintain code in Go, Python, Bash, and other relevant languages within a Linux OS (RHEL/SLES, etc.) environment.

Essential Requirements

• Extensive background in Kubernetes (K8s) and OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), focusing on authentication and authorization.
• Experienced in Go and knowledgeable about software engineering principles.
• Skilled in scripting with Python and Bash and CI/CD automation, utilizing tools such as Git, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence.
