Our Electrical Engineering team puts the spark into the full hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production. It takes experts in system architecture definition, design, analysis, prototyping, sourcing & the debugging and validation of layouts or routes to deliver state-of-the-art products for a changing world. You will:

• Develop, test and validate simulation models to ensure the accuracy of simulation results through correlation studies; perform analysis of electrical designs and simulate viable routing, material and interconnect solutions to define a "solution space" and develop design constraints for new high-speed interfaces
• Devise optimized simulation strategies necessary to characterize worst case system conditions for high volume manufacturing and environmental variations
• Participate in design reviews for platforms internal and external to Dell and provide guidance relating to signal integrity rules and best practices
• Lead the development of electrical validation test plans for new technologies and assist in the resolution of signal integrity issues before they impact product delivery and/or quality
• Engage with key technology and strategic suppliers to co-develop platform guidelines and simulation tools and to collaborate on future technology directions and ecosystem challenges associated with high frequency interfaces and materials

Essential Requirements

• 12+ years’ experience as a signal integrity engineer or related skill; must include experience with server design and experience with both Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) and Double Data Rate (DDR) interfaces
• Solid understanding of transmission line, electromagnetic field and analog/digital theory and principles
• Ability to read and understand technical data sheets, circuit schematics and mechanical drawings
• Experience using signal integrity tools and applications (2D, 3D and Power) and advanced test/measurement equipment for signal integrity tasks
• Experience collaborating with customers and defining/executing solutions

You will collaborate with AI, Server, Storage, Network architects, engineers, developers, product managers, and sales staff to ensure that our AI solutions are best-in-class for customer needs while being cost-effective.

As a senior member of our AI Solution Engineering team, you will be responsible for early investigation, evaluation, validation and producing solutions and publication ready reference architectures for GenAI Solutions based on Dell server, storage and networking products, GPUs/DPUs/SmartNICs and applications from alliance partners. You will collaborate with AI, Server, Storage, Network architects, engineers, developers, product managers, and sales staff to ensure that our AI solutions are best-in-class for customer needs while being cost-effective.

You will:

• Perform technical planning, analysis and hardware performance studies to meet solution requirements and perform component hardware and software integration and derive solution level requirement needed in early POC phases.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues related to the system, software and solution level interoperability, functionality, performance and scaling
• Engage with sales and extended teams to scope project work aligned to priorities; work with system engineers, project managers and Lab operation team members to design, develop, release and support the solution
• Create presentations describing the technical details of our solutions in a format appropriate for use with sales teams and customers

Essential Requirements

• 10 + years of experience in architecting, developing and deploying end-to-end (infrastructure to platform to application to workload to use-cases) AI solutions Management Solutions or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of hands-on experience on system engineering with AI related experience and performance
• Experience with NVDIA GPUS hardware, software and management stack/Experience with Dell hardware, serves, networking and software
• Experience with GenAI, AI, ML technologies\Outstanding communication skills
• Hands on experience with Kubernetes, Openshift

Desirable Requirements

• BS/MS or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science
• Hands on experience in dealing with Block, File and Object Storage/Experience with various GPU silicon technologies including NVIDIA, AMD and Intel

You will:

• Technical lead working with customer in in understanding the project details, developing technical proposals, and aligning with internal Dell Engineering and Planning team.

• Develop Complete solution with Compute, Storage and Networking components to L12 (customer datacenter) delivery

• Develop solution Overview across L10 and L11, validate with Engineering

• Propose BOM/ SKUs to meet technical requirements based on customer input and review with Engineering & planning and develop solution proposals and integration requirements for Enterprise AI solutions

• Validate with Engineering team the customer requirements and BOM defined for the proposal

Essential Requirements

• 15+ years of related experience in product technology and system level integration

• Adept at conducting presentations to peers, cross-functional teams and director level leadership with an understanding of appropriate technologies, vendor products, and competitor's offerings

• Knowledge of and experience with scale-out file/object storage and parallel file systems for providing scalable shared access to data for compute clusters along with familiarity with common storage concepts such as NFS/S3 access protocols, erasure encoding, deduplication, encryption, versioning, tiering, data management, and backup

• Ability to define appropriate storage system configurations that satisfy production application performance and service level requirements.

• Customer and partner project/program leadership experience; must have ability to understand and assess customer requirements, develop technical solutions based on customers geographical area, negotiate conflicting interests and prioritize deliverables to achieve the best possible outcome for all stakeholders; need to be able to travel 20%-30%

Compensation: Dell is committed to Fair and Equitable compensation practices. The Base Salary Range for this role is $230,000.00 to $295,000.00

As a Principal Systems Development Engineer, in this high-visibility position, you will work across engineering disciplines to deliver and sustain competitive memory solutions across the ISG portfolio. Partnering with platform development and systems engineering teams globally.

You will:

• Partner with internal platform and development engineering teams to influence, expand, and enhance alternative memory solutions
• Be a subject matter expert on alternative memory technology solutions extending to HW, FW, OSV, and ISV interactions
