  • Independently lead project management of global key enabler workstreams (e.g. internal partnerships, target market framing, product gap analysis, data remediation, etc).

Business Reviews

  • Analyze detailed performance metrics to understand business drivers, opportunities & threats. Monitor ongoing performance
  • Leverage global data sources to prepare adhoc analysis on key strategic / operational and deliver actionable insights
  • Lead/support the development of and production of materials for management presentations, town halls, etc.
  • Share best practices within CCB BE broadly and across Banking.

Risk & Controls

This product management role is part of the Global Liquidity and Cash Concentration (‘GLCC’) solutions area. The position entails responsibility for Cash Concentration, Notional Pooling and Real-Time Liquidity Product Management and Commercialization activities for the UK, Europe and MEA cluster encompassing product strategy and performance, product and platform delivery/ rollout, deal management, commercialization risk & control and re-platforming.

What you’ll do:

Product Strategy and Performance

  • Contribute to the product strategy and roadmap based on market developments & customer needs.
  • Provide inputs to investment strategy and prioritization across GLCC solutions in liaison with cluster teams.
  • Gather market intelligence and develop market sizing to identify the attractiveness of particular markets segments and product offerings. Define and analyse sector trends, opportunities, and issues.
  • Plan and execute pricing and expense management initiatives to optimize portfolio performance.
  • Drive management visibility of performance drivers and delivery to plan through regular updates and presentations.
  • Alignment with multiple stakeholder groups including Global/ Cluster Product, Operations, Technology, Sales, Banking, Legal and Risk teams to drive the product agenda for the relevant clusters.

Product & Platform Development/ Rollouts

  • Work with Global Product Development leads to support the rollout of new or enhanced products, features, and global platforms to the cluster, while ensuring that all necessary approval requirements and governance processes are adhered to.
  • Collaborate with technology, operations, and client-facing teams to plan and execute the phased migration of liquidity structures from legacy platforms to global platforms.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of digital capabilities and STP processes to improve client experience.

Commercialization

  • Drive client usage and commercial success of GLCC products, harnessing data/metrics and through alignment with LMS Solutioning, sales and banking teams.
  • Assist sales and relationship managers in identifying client needs and proposing solutions in line with business objectives.
  • Develop and update GLCC client collateral and internal collateral to support value articulation and commercialization efforts.
  • Ensure maintenance and updates to product content on internal and external channels.
  • Deliver trainings to client-facing teams on product positioning and usage.

Deal Management

  • Engage with and support LMS solutioning and client-facing teams on deals and client asks.
  • Ongoing support for deals including deal review, pricing approvals and exception handling.
  • Recommend and deliver process improvements in collaboration with onboarding, operations, technology, and other teams.

Risk and Control

  • Build and maintain a pristine risk and controls environment in collaboration with global, and cluster partners.
  • Ensure timely and comprehensive Product Approval Program review and Capability Grid updates.
  • Appropriate assessment of risks in reviewing and approving deals.
  • Ongoing monitoring of the product portfolio vis-à-vis established risk acceptance criteria.
  • Driving risk mitigation and remediation efforts in coordination with Legal, Risk, Sales, Banking, Operations, and other teams.
  • Proactive identification, ownership and management of issues and incidents.
  • Contribute towards preparation and support for of audits / regulatory reviews.

Job Description

This global leadership role encompasses strategic business development, client relationship management, and thought leadership within the public sector. The individual will be responsible for the following:

  • Attract, develop and retain top, diverse Public Sector banking talent. Foster mentorship and talent management globally for all bankers and CCO’s covering PS.
  • Develop and execute a client -driven franchise growth strategy that drives sustainable and profitable growth and maintains and extends leadership wallet share position (top #3)
  • Lead team in analyzing market trends to identify growth opportunities and lead co-development of PS segment specific solutions in partnership with key product areas and other industry groups (Examples: Markets solutions JV and JV with industrials on Defense Financing solutions).

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and product scorecards for Citi's Global Instant Payment offering, including risk, control, and commercialization metrics.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, commercialization, marketing, legal, compliance, and product development teams to create and implement effective product launch plans and support client discussions on Instant Payments.
  • Continuously improve product offerings and go-to-market strategies based on performance data, market feedback, risk assessments, and commercialization objectives.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including risk and control functions and commercialization teams, to ensure our payment capabilities are rolled out and commercialized effectively while maintaining compliance and meeting market needs.
  • Champion the adoption of best-in-class product governance models, leading training sessions and internal communications on new product releases, capabilities, roadmaps, schedules, risk management best practices, and commercialization strategies.
  • Work closely with Technology, Operations, Service, Compliance, Business Managers, Legal, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives, ensuring alignment with risk and control frameworks and commercialization goals.


What we'll need from you:

  • Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem (Real-Time Payments/Instant Payments preferred), including product management and commercialization.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing commercialization and go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, pricing models, and sales enablement.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and market trends to inform decisions and strategy.
  • Proven experience in client co-creation and collaboration, with a demonstrated ability to translate client needs into product solutions.

Individual will closely partner with Global Loan IQ Senior Product Owners in the regions to ensuring requirements & mapping needs are properly documented to support the conversion. Typically a small number of people within the business that provide the same level of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.

What you’ll do

  • Responsible for the day to day management of executing to milestones and budget on multiple complex projects.
  • Identify stakeholders and key organizations in order to build and manage relationships with each.
  • Direct the creation of multiple work projects and manage their alignment to business goals.
  • Lead the facilitation, coordination, and arbitration of cross-functional macro level topics within/across projects and with Senior Management.
  • Lead the identification and drive resolution of issues, including those outside established projects of work.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure project scope definition meets business objectives.
  • Work with Project Sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives.
  • Drive adherence to project processes, procedures, methods, and standards for project delivery and leverage across the project.
  • Assist project team in negotiating for resources owned by other departments in order ensure the project can be completed.
  • Direct the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
  • Direct the identification of risks which impact project delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary. Escalate program risks to the Program Director, or Program Sponsor, when appropriate.
  • Applies advanced and comprehensive understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Strategy and Process

  • Drive execution of key strategic initiatives for CCB Globally and across Banking to ensure delivery with high quality, accuracy and timeliness. This will include a combination of leading or supporting projects or initiatives, depending on their nature
  • Own the strategic, administrative, operational, and process enhancements on key CCB / Banking processes in partnership with internal other teams e.g. Cluster BE, Coverage, Loans, Resources, Strategy, Risk, Finance, etc.
  • Support the Global BE team to articulate strategic priorities, support governance programs & track performance against strategic priorities
  • Ensure headcount is accurate, real estate is inventoried and planned, and onboarding and termination of resources are managed effectively
  • Manage and coordinate teams of cross-functional stakeholders. Provide strategic direction and accountability across disparate teams to create excellent outcomes
  • Independently lead project management of global key enabler workstreams (e.g. internal partnerships, target market framing, product gap analysis, data remediation, etc).

Business Reviews

  • Analyze detailed performance metrics to understand business drivers, opportunities & threats. Monitor ongoing performance
  • Leverage global data sources to prepare adhoc analysis on key strategic / operational and deliver actionable insights
  • Lead/support the development of and production of materials for management presentations, town halls, etc.
  • Share best practices within CCB BE broadly and across Banking.

Risk & Controls

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

  • Substantial experience in financial services.
  • Prior commercial banking experience preferred.
