In this role, you are expected to:

  • Effectively and proactively communicates with candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers regarding their status and questions within the recruitment lifecycle, especially related to progress of interview scheduling, offer letters, pre-employment and pre-offer checks, and onboarding;
  • Schedules interviews between candidates and Citi employees of varying seniority levels;
  • Generates employment agreement letters, including those that include complex terminologies and legal terms & conditions;
  • Completes hiring transaction of candidates and processes recruitment-related invoice and payment requests within agreed turnaround time;
  • Ensures 100% compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and guidelines, including those pertaining to immigration and work authorization;
  • Acts as a change agent–identifies process gaps, trends, or anomalies, and recommends improvements to existing practices; and
  • Supports the Lateral and/or Campus Talent Acquisition Teams through ad-hoc support, including but not limited to:
    • Recruiting event participation and coordination
    • Site-specific reporting activities and forms completion
    • Supporting and managing ad-hoc projects together with HRSS Business Analysts and Recruiting Teams


As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure

  • Willing to take on 6 - months project employment
  • Has at least one (1) to three (3) years of experience in recruiting and/or staffing, preferably within the Banking or Financial Services industry;
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, following a global service delivery model;
  • Has good communication skills in English, both in oral and written forms;
  • Is customer-focused and detail-oriented;
  • Has effective interpersonal skills and with proven ability to build and maintain strong virtual and in-person relationships with colleagues, clients, and partners;
  • Is team-oriented, with the ability to flex in support of timelines and deliverables;

The Valuation Control Group (VCG) is a cornerstone of Citi Controllers. VCG is responsible for the independent valuation control of Citi’s traded inventory, as well as other areas where fair value principles need to be applied, such as PRA/ECB Prudent Valuation requirements. The group is organised into global product aligned teams and specialised functions such as Reporting, Valuation Methodology & International, and Design & Execution.

The key responsibilities of the group are to perform the independent price verification for traded inventory, calculate valuation adjustments, ensure appropriate valuation governance, and conduct new trade reviews.

The responsibilities of the team are to:

  • Ensure Citi has the most appropriate and complete valuation control framework across all areas of price verification, valuation adjustments and wider valuation governance. This includes all aspects of overarching Policy, Standards, Procedures and Methodologies, covering both accounting and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the department in its US and International regulatory engagements and exams, as well as managing external and internal audits, and any remediation efforts.
  • Ensure there is strong oversight of valuation controls across all International legal entities, along with the associated regulatory responsibilities, working in close partnership with local controllers and our wider legal entity stakeholders.

The individual will be responsible for delivering valuation projects to address regulatory findings from Citi’s regulators, responding to new and emerging valuation practices and contributing to VCG’s delivery of strategic group-wide transformation initiatives.

What you’ll do

Cross-Asset Methodology:

Developing cross-asset valuation methodologies/models and responding to new and emerging valuation practices.

Ensuring VCG’s compliance with critical firmwide policies, including model risk management policy and associated controls.

This individual must be able to understand how to implement strong and effective governance.

Flexibility & Adaptability:

The priorities of this individual will be set by Global Head of Valuation Policy, which may include regulatory obligations, so there will be crucial deadlines that will need to be achieved.

Adaptability to changing circumstances is critical, as the prioritisation of responsibilities will need to evolve with changing circumstances.

  • Experience in a valuation, risk or product control related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of current global accounting and regulatory standards and developments pertaining to valuation of financial instruments.

What you’ll do

The Valuation Control Group (VCG) is an independent global group within Product Control responsible for reviewing and reporting fair value inventory consistently across all asset classes.

Primary Responsibility

  • Responsibility for all aspects of valuation control of the business, including validation of market data inputs, reporting and analysis.
  • Producing and implementing methodologies / procedures for valuation adjustments and price testing across the business, with particular attention to the design of controls.
  • Ensuring timely remediation of regulatory matters requiring attention, audit findings and associated reporting demands associated with the area of responsibility.

In this role, you are expected to:

  • Effectively and proactively communicates with candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers regarding their status and questions within the recruitment lifecycle, especially related to progress of interview scheduling, offer letters, pre-employment and pre-offer checks, and onboarding;
  • Schedules interviews between candidates and Citi employees of varying seniority levels;
  • Generates employment agreement letters, including those that include complex terminologies and legal terms & conditions;
  • Completes hiring transaction of candidates and processes recruitment-related invoice and payment requests within agreed turnaround time;
  • Ensures 100% compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and guidelines, including those pertaining to immigration and work authorization;
  • Acts as a change agent–identifies process gaps, trends, or anomalies, and recommends improvements to existing practices; and
  • Supports the Lateral and/or Campus Talent Acquisition Teams through ad-hoc support, including but not limited to:
    • Recruiting event participation and coordination
    • Site-specific reporting activities and forms completion
    • Supporting and managing ad-hoc projects together with HRSS Business Analysts and Recruiting Teams


As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure

  • Willing to take on 6 - months project employment
  • Has at least one (1) to three (3) years of experience in recruiting and/or staffing, preferably within the Banking or Financial Services industry;
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, following a global service delivery model;
  • Has good communication skills in English, both in oral and written forms;
  • Is customer-focused and detail-oriented;
  • Has effective interpersonal skills and with proven ability to build and maintain strong virtual and in-person relationships with colleagues, clients, and partners;
  • Is team-oriented, with the ability to flex in support of timelines and deliverables;
  • Has the ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with tact and discretion;
  • Has demonstrable proficiency in using HR systems and communication tools, preferably Workday Recruiting and Zoom, among others; and
  • Is adept in using Microsoft Office Suite.
