You are a software engineer that loves working in all parts of the software stack, ranging from low level development at the Linux level to making sure software is built with test automation in mind. You enjoy working as part of a team, contribute to our culture of learning from each other, but fully capable of taking ownership and working but can figure things out for yourself if needed.
You will:

• Build features and maintain functionality by writing software in C++/Python/Rust
• Help integrate software from our meeting platform partners into our own software stack
• Build software with quality and pay attention to details
• Help the team focus on continuous improvement, either it being related to a piece of code or internal processes

Minimum Qualifications

• You hold a degree in computer science or equivalent
• Programming experience in C++ / Python or Rust
• Experience working with Linux

• You are a problem solver that likes learning new things
• Experience with embedded platforms and an interest for low level programming
• Experience with Android development and ecosystem would be an advantage
• Good problem-solving, debugging and analytical skills
• Interest in device security topics
• Good collaboration and communication skills
• Test focused attitude when writing software

You are a dedicated embedded developer, with skills within OS development and hardware near software development. You are self driven, quality focused and enjoy working with other developers and teams. You will:

• Work on OS layer software on our new and existing devices, offering a development platform and access to hardware services to our application teams
• Focus on improvement, either it being related to an area, a piece of code or internal processes

• A degree in relevant field (CS, CE, EE or similar)
• Experience with relevant programming languages (C/C++/Rust/Python)
• Experience with embedded Linux development

• Experience in developing software that makes efficient use of hardware resources.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: graphics or display development on Linux or Android; graphics programming (e.g., EGL, OpenGL, Qt); graphics and display pipelines; GPU programming; or working with hardware accelerators for video and graphics; Android development;
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English
• Authorized to work in Norway without visa sponsorship from Cisco

You are an enthusiastic and skilled FPGA design engineer who loves to work on high quality communications products. You are a team player who challenges the status quo with creation and innovation. You can figure things out by yourself, but you are comfortable participating in our friendly and team-oriented collaboration approach to learn from others. You will:

• Work with design and verification of FPGA implementations for Cisco video collaboration products
• Contribute to build-system integration and automation in Python
• Be part of evaluation and integration of new FPGA solutions for future products
• Take part in continuously improving the test environment by writing and suggesting tests to ensure high quality solutions, together with a broader team in a CI/CD environment.

• Relevant higher education and strong interest in FPGA development
• Experience with RTL coding and FPGA development
• Experience with FPGA tool processes, e.g. place and route and timing closure with multiple clock domains, in tools like Quartus and Radiant.
• Experience with Python and Linux

• C-coding experience and knowledge of Linux kernel
• Experience with work in labs and test equipment to help with board level and FPGA bring up and debug
• Experience presenting technical information to technical and non-technical audiences
