The cloud network engineering team is looking for an experienced platform engineer with experience in developing, deploying, and supporting foundational platforms for large scale distributed systems. You will contribute to the end-to-end design, development, and support of these systems including, but not limited to, observability, support documentation, architecture, design, and development. In an organization with daring goals and autonomy, you will engage in providing technical leadership on high impact projects, influence and drive multi-functional teams, facilitate alignment and clarity across teams, and balance priorities, deadlines and deliverables. You will be encouraged to practice and champion foundational software and systems development principles.
- Software development skills in interpreted languages (Python, etc), compiled languages (Golang, etc), version control systems (Git), and CI systems (Jenkins, etc)
- Experience working with container technologies including APIs (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, architectures, and APIs.
- Experience with Integration / interactions of tooling with APIs
- Hands-on experience with large scale production systems
- Experience working with infrastructure-as-code / configuration management tools and APIs (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform)
- Shown ability to address large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience building monitoring, alerting, and observability for large scale distributed systems
- Experience working with bare metal systems and knowledge of operating systems
- In-depth knowledge on networking protocols and packet forwarding architecture
- Strong and consistent track record of working with multi-functional teams
