The candidate for this role will be comfortable working in a dynamic and creative environment with an ambition to improve, innovate and explore these technologies to enable creators to surprise and delight our users. Engineers are expected to work quickly and smartly to help determine the viability of ideas and technologies. You will need a keen understanding of 3D engines, DCC tools and content authoring workflows for real-time experiences.
- Programming skills and knowledge of C or Swift
- Experience developing high-performance systems for 3D apps and games
- Familiarity with Entity Component Systems (ECS)
- Proficient in mathematics for 3D realtime graphics (linear algebra)
- MS in Computer Science, Computer Graphics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Familiar with explicit 3D graphics API (Metal, DirectX, Vulkan)
- Experience using, building and maintaining game engines
- Understanding of CPU/GPU hardware architecture and how that affects solutions
- Experience building tools for real-time engines
- Experience in writing tools and/or scripting for DCCs (Maya, Houdini, Blender)
- Experience working closely with all disciplines in modern game development (e.g. technical
- artists, artists, VFX artists, animators, audio designers, gameplay programmers and game
- designers)
- Proven track record of innovation in 3D development or related fields.
- Passion to help define and create real-time content authoring workflows for the future.
