As part of our digital design team you will get involved in all phases of the product development cycle. You will work with chip and system architects to understand the top level requirements of our digital functions and develop detailed specifications. A key part of your daily work is the definition of features and interfaces to control analog and digital IPs, the implementation in SystemVerilog and the flows to qualify RTL code. You will also need to provide constraints, oversee synthesis and power reports, root-cause and resolve timing and power issues and ensure maximal QoR throughout your design.
- Proficient with RTL structures and coding in Verilog, SystemVerilog or VHDL
- Knowledge of digital frontend flows and methodologies
- Excellent interpersonal skills and well-organised working style
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Fluent English language skills are required (written and verbal)
- Awareness of asynchronous design concepts, related rules and restrictions

Apple is looking for a qualified and motivated silicon validation engineer. You will be part of a team doing pre/post-silicon bring- up, debug, validation and characterisation of analog and mixed signal Power Management circuits for battery operated portable devices.You will be expected to participate in all levels of this process, including the definition of custom board-level hardware for IC bring-up and test, defining and implementing validation plans, and working with module and system teams to support their design integration and debug of system-level issues.
- BS/MS/PhD in Electronic Engineering or related fields
- First experience in the areas of system validation and ASIC design validation
- Experience with analog circuit measurement
- Good knowledge in Hardware Design tools, schematic entry and PCB design techniques
- Strong bringup and debugging skills and hands-on lab work.
- Experience with complex test equipment setups (scopes, programmable power supplies, spectrum/network analyzer, etc.)
- Good coding skills (Python, C++) and knowledge of test equipment programming for automating laboratory measurements
- Experience with switching converters and linear regulators (LDO)
- Technical background in silicon validation, failure analysis and debug
- Familiarity with Verilog or VHDL, FPGA prototyping
- Good understanding of embedded firmware/software development process is beneficial
- An understanding of finite state machines, microcontroller architectures and mixed signal design is a plus
