And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.As a Regional Environmental Engineer (REE), you will be responsible for environmental compliance at AWS data centers in Indiana. You will develop standards and policies to support regulatory compliance, complete environmental performance analysis, establish and monitor metrics, and guide the teams in implementation of Amazon environmental standards. You will provide guidance and build effective relationships with internal and external partners, including government entities, contractors, consultants, design, construction, operations and other key stakeholders.This position is based in New Carlisle, IN and will require travel throughout the state.Key job responsibilities- Drive an environmentally responsible culture within the organization;- Develop environmental metrics to measure, monitor and forecast performance;
- Conduct thorough and accurate environmental audits for continuous improvement;
- Prioritize and manage multiple technically complex assignments concurrently;
- Assist in time-critical report submission to various governmental agencies;
- Complete thorough and accurate environmental incident investigations and associated regulatory reports and develop appropriate corrective action.

Basic Qualifications

- BA/BS degree in chemistry, chemical or environmental engineering, or related field of study
- 2+ years serving as an environmental technical resource, compliance specialist, or regulatory program manager
- 2+ years with regulatory assessments, air emissions evaluations, water discharge requirements, and waste management
- Broad knowledge of US environmental regulations


Preferred Qualifications

- Experience leading change in multiple site environments and the ability to influence those that are not direct reports or within your organization

Our data centers are industry examples of energy efficient, cost-effective designs. You will work alongside partner teams such as Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning to build Data Centers that directly support our Customers.As our Data Center Project Engineer, you will support the teams that build some of the most interesting electrical and mechanical systems in the world. You will be on the construction site, daily interacting with the construction managers and stakeholders and be directly responsible for supporting the fast, high-quality delivery of our data center construction. The Data Center Project Engineer will be part of the onsite Construction Management team and will own the communication coordination with our vendors, information workflow, and coordination of document management including requests for information (RFI), change orders, report, and schedule updates.Key job responsibilities
The Data Center Project Engineer will be responsible for:- Develop and maintain a tracking system for design changes, RFI’s (requests for information), and change orders and dashboard and track this information for regional leadership review. Include tracking status of priority and due dates.
- Requesting and reviewing MOPs (Method of Procedure) for proper detail, necessity, and risk.
- On-boarding new vendors for badging and orientation.
- Updating project management software with milestone dates, correspondence, and documents.
- Monitor delivery of owner furnished material to site.
- Compiling and storing construction data from vendors.
- Managing checklist including various checklists including substantial completion checks, safety, and quality.

Key job responsibilities
The successful candidate will be operationally responsible for a Data Center. Some high-level responsibilities include:
- Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators
- Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels
- Ensure effective and efficient management of day to day data center operations including queue management, 7/24 shift arrangement and hardware logistics
- Fast learn or act as the subject matter expert across all aspects in data center operations
- Ensure all operational KPIs and metrics are being measured and met- Manage Large Scale Events (outages) and act as the call leader
- Manage and improve the work-flows and through-put for data centers operations
- Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and to meet required SLAs
- Maintain the on-call schedule coordinating absence and vacations

- Communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
