High Level Job Summary:

Role will oversee the 3 accounting managers on the team.

  • Cross functional teams across PayPal, include: FP&A, Capital Markets, Credit Risk, Data Analytics, System Platform, Corporate Accounting, Treasury, Accounting Policy, SEC Reporting, SOX, etc.
    • Partnership with Capital Markets team (and greater Credit FP&A team) which are based in NYC is a critical function of this role. Note: Credit business partners/leaders are primarily based on the East Coast, across the Tri-State area.
  • Oversee quarterly CECL Allowance process. This is a key focus area with a high level of scrutiny due to subjectivity and materiality of the estimate. Quarterly process includes heavy partnership withCredit Risk and Credit Finance to align on reserveestimates and ultimately present a detailed deck to leadership.
  • Review complex journal entries and ensure the accuracy of information through well-documented workpapers. Proactively identify, communicate, and resolve any issues or reconciling items.

  • 4+ years of relevant business experience or combined no less than 2 years relevant experience and associates or higher degree

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $46,900 to $98,000. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $56,300 to $111,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.

New York or Remote- Seasonal Tax Senior Manager-Real Estate

Your key responsibilities

As a Seasonal Senior Manager, you'll provide clients with tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning (internal restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP conversions from US GAAP to IFRS or IFRS to US GAAP, share based compensation, financial statement restatements and balance sheet remediation of tax accounts). You'll also assist companies with all aspects of their preparation of the tax provision. In addition, you'll also have the opportunity review of the tax provision process to improve efficiency and accuracy and enhance the control environment and assessing tax risk and control environments inclusive of and beyond the boundaries of Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor's degree in a related field, supported by significant tax or legal experience; MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM preferred
  • Valid US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or active state bar membership
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience in professional services, tax organization, law firm, or IRS
  • Broad understanding and experience with federal income taxation
  • Strong analytical skills, written/verbal communication skills, interpersonal; problem-solving ability and attention to detail
