Role overview:

In this dynamic and patient-centered role, you will be a key clinical and commercial contributor—supporting our technologies through hands-on education, sales support, and expert clinical guidance. You’ll cover a defined territory, collaborating closely with hospitals and healthcare providers to ensure best-in-class outcomes and to drive the adoption of our innovative CRM solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as the primary clinical expertduring device implants, patient follow-ups, programming, and troubleshooting

  • to healthcare professionals on product use and clinical benefits

  • Attending procedures in hospital labs and operating roomsto support optimal patient outcomes

  • Building strong relationshipswith physicians, nurses, and key hospital staff to foster trust and drive engagement

  • Managing product inventory

  • Participating in a rotational 24/7 on-call scheduleto support patients and clinicians in real time

Required qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, Science, Math, Business, Nursing preferred and/or equivalent technical work experience.

  • A minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience.

  • A minimum of 3 years in a Boston Scientific clinical position or minimum of 2 years with completed/passed IBHRE certification that is active.

  • External equivalent is a minimum of 3 years competitive CRM clinical work experience OR minimum of 6 years cardiac-related clinical work experience OR minimum of 4 years with completed/passed NASPE/IBHRE certification.

  • Ability to take rotational 24/7 call with a sales team involving holidays, weekends.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, device clinic and/or Cardiac Catheterization (Cath) Lab.

  • Medical device sales, sales support, clinical education and/or clinical research experience.

  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently, efficiently, and effectively where daily schedule varies by hours worked and tasks managed while remaining accountable to company, region and team goals.

  • The ability to understand, communicate and train others in the use and understanding of complex medical device software algorithms as it pertains to device therapy and diverse disease states.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of the medical community including patients.

  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a highly motivated team where flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment are paramount and urgency often dictates a dynamic work schedule

The anticipated annualized base amount or range for this full time position will be$85,000 to $105,000, plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives) as well as the value of core and optional benefits offered at BSC, which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and coach clinical representatives through the utilization of field rides, individual and group meetings and company resources to ensure regional alignment of goals, development of talent and adoption of best practices.

  • Demonstrate effective change leadership to adapt to an evolving customer base and industry service expectations.

  • Communicate and drive alignment of corporate, division, regional vision, goals and activities.

  • Be critical part of a collaborative regional management team with HR to locate, recruit and hire top clinical candidates for open positions. Continually work to maintain a strong, diverse personnel “bench” of candidates for use in future hiring opportunities.

  • Oversee the training and development of the clinical team in implant, service delivery, competitive and product knowledge.

  • Ensure all direct reports have annual/quarterly objectives and implement a regular schedule of evaluating performance, providing feedback and coaching, and documenting performance needs and achievements; implement performance improvement plans, if needed.

  • Coach and advise the clinical team on teamwork, time and task management, and career development.

  • Perform administrative tasks related to management, expense, inventory and communication activities.

  • Identify service opportunities through the use of analytics, time studies and/or field visits.  Address service opportunities through coaching or the development and execution of measurable initiatives.

  • Coordinate, develop, and implement strategies to increase service efficiency and optimize clinical headcount utilization.  Leverage national best practices via network of Clinical Leaders and training.

  • Collaborate with the hospital and clinic personnel to streamline service coverage needs.

  • Partner with Sales team to coordinate sales and service efforts across the region.

  • Provide direction to the clinical team regarding the management of assets, resources and expenses.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 7+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • CRM certification and demonstrated aptitude in CRM therapy knowledge for implants and device support

  • Knowledge of local CRM customer base preferred

  • Demonstrated leadership/credibility with the local team(s).

  • Strong business acumen and strategic problem-solving skills

  • Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers (including all BSC divisions)

  • Ability to manage conflict effectively and effect change

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong project management experience

  • Must be energetic, organized, determined and goal oriented

Preferred Qualifications

  • IBHRE certified

  • Management or leadership experience and expenses.
