- Design, implement, and maintain database systems (DataStax, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server).
- Monitor database performance and proactively address issues related to tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery through backups, replication, and failover strategies.
- Implement and maintain database security policies, including access controls and encryption.
- Collaborate with development teams to support application integration and schema design.
- Perform regular audits and updates to ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory standards.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and standards.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree and six to ten years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience
2. In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices
3. Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function
4. Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices
5. Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information
Minimum 10 years’ experience building and maintaining complex mission-criticalproduction database systemsin a variety of modern database products
Able to access and interpret client information received from the computer and able to hear and speak with individuals in person and on the phone.Able to work standard office equipment, including PC keyboard and mouse, copy/fax machines, and printers.Able to work all hours scheduled, including overtime as directed by manager/supervisor and required by business need.
