Job Role and Responsibility:Lead complex initiatives impacting credit strategies across the customer lifecycle from acquisitions to collections. Advise senior leadership to develop and implement strategies, programs, and policies with a direct and significant impact on credit risk appetite. Demonstrate understanding of credit risk data, strategies and models across customers’ life cycle. Lead multiple analytical projects under tight timelines; ensure projects are completed on time and meet internal client expectations. Lead quantitative analytics using programming tools (SQL, SAS, and/or Python) to analyze data from a variety of sources to develop unsecure lending credit strategies. Lead credit strategy redesign and marginal hurdles framework that aligns with overall risk appetite. Deliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking, and coordination of highly complex activities and guidance to others. Effectively collaborate and consult in a matrix organization with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals. Present results of analysis and strategies to senior executive leadership. Interact with internal and external customers. Collaborate with business for oversight of risk management. Interact with Audit, Legal, external agencies, and regulatory bodies on risk related topics. Remote / telecommute work available, up to 2 days per week. DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study plus 5 (Five) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Module Lead, Programmer Analyst, IT Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Designing and developing web based applications using Java and J2EE technologies; Building applications using JSON data files or service payloads for data transfer; Developing software using Spring Framework components such as Spring Boot, and using Maven to resolve the dependencies and build the application; Designing independently deployable, loosely coupled, components using Microservices architecture and developing those by following REST principles; Designing and developing dynamic web applications using JavaScript and jQuery; Developing applications and performing exploratory data analysis to store and retrieve enterprise data using Oracle and Cassandra Databases; Enhancing application data retrieve capability by using object relational mapping tools such as Hibernate; Designing and developing distributed real time message systems by using Apache Kafka; Developing deployable, auto scalable, cloud native web applications by using Cloud Services such as AWS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, or Azure; Providing secure and friction less experience to the application end users by following appropriate SOAP and REST principles and developing web services; Performing Unit Testing and Regression Testing on applications using Junit, Selenium, and Cucumber; Performing deployment analysis and application setup on Apache Tomcat server; Measuring web based applications and API response times by conducting Performance Testing; Using Splunk and Dynatrace to develop 24X7 monitoring for application logs and performance and alerting appropriate entities; Enhancing software development processes by adhering to continuous integration or continuous delivery principles to integrate Jenkins with API's and web based applications; Using GIT version control to track the progress of application code across software development lifecycle and its multiple iterations.

About this role:
This Lead Credit Risk Officer will report to the Senior Manager leading the Consumer Credit card products, with functional alignment within Transformation Risk.
