The material flow engineer plays an important role in the tech industry for Ford in Dearborn, United States. The engineer works within the company’s automated material handling system and works to optimize the flow of material and information between suppliers, production lines, and customers. It is their responsibility to ensure that the production line runs efficiently, as well as minimizing any obstacles that could slow down production or impact the quality of the product.
