Primary Responsibilities

  • The Senior will support teams of FAAS professionals during engagements covering a broad spectrum of areas. The individual will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Support the FAAS team in executing one or more Finance Transformation solutions including the following:
  • End to end process study, identify gaps in current process and identify recommendations.
  • Process design skills – able to critically review existing processes; make recommendations for rationalisation and improvement.
  • Define and develop a finance target operating model. Design business and process models, and help define finance technology strategy, architecture, and roadmap.
  • Execute technology led enterprise transformation projects for our clients

  • Understand fundamentals of data preparation/data modelling necessary for the visualization purpose.
  • Capture reporting requirements from various stakeholders, architect the solution/report, understand/analyze the source data and deliver the reports in timely manner
  • Strong expertise in designing intuitive and interactive reports/dashboards using Power BI for data driven decisions.
  • Participating in development of proposals related to our offerings
  • Supporting projects that ensure high quality consulting services to major clients, preferably with a practical approach as learned during working in the business
  • Contributing to the creation of new services, tools and materials to be more successful on the market
  • Active participation in the creation and maintenance of an environment that enables the team to deliver effectively and achieve the highest quality
  • Support in developing our offerings and assets
  • Support in maintaining relationships with the client's management in order to deliver the expectations of service

  • Qualifications, skills and experience

To qualify, candidates must have:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA (US) or ACCA (UK) with 0-5 years of relevant experience
  • MBA degree is a plus
  • Experience on Finance transformation, process optimisation projects including R2R, O2C, P2P and treasury deliver a customised solution by engaging tools and technologies
  • Project experience across the Finance Transformation, System Implementation with knowledge of EPR’s.
  • Exposure in one or more specific finance operating model design, service management, performance management (SLA, KPI),
  • Have system exposure in functional side, implementation side or optimisation side are highly preferred (e.g. SAP, Oracle etc)
  • Have experience in preparing Target Operating Models, current state analysis (As is), future state analysis (To be), process optimization, data optimization, data analytics, data management.
  • Certified in project management or agile management
  • Fluent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English, other languages are highly preferred
  • Willingness to work in a global environment where travel is regularly required for several clients
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

    • Process trade files from custodians and managers, ensuring all trades pass duplication and control checks before settlement.
    • Scrub and match SWIFT messages for corporate actions, generate events, and ensure timely entitlement generation for ex-date T-1 and earlier.
    • Monitor and resolve message queue failures, batch job errors, and dashboard exceptions.
  • Reconciliations & Controls
    • Perform daily and monthly reconciliations across General Ledger, capital gains tax parcels, interfunding, super to pension, fees, collateral, and cash positions.
    • Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks and sign off on all reconciliations promptly.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities, working closely with business and technology teams.

Requirements:

  • General understanding of Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and regulatory requirements is a plus

  • Qualifications, skills and experience

To qualify, candidates must have:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA (US) or ACCA (UK) with 0-5 years of relevant experience
  • MBA degree is a plus
  • Experience on Finance transformation, process optimisation projects including R2R, O2C, P2P and treasury deliver a customised solution by engaging tools and technologies
  • Project experience across the Finance Transformation, System Implementation with knowledge of EPR’s.
  • Exposure in one or more specific finance operating model design, service management, performance management (SLA, KPI),
  • Have system exposure in functional side, implementation side or optimisation side are highly preferred (e.g. SAP, Oracle etc)
  • Have experience in preparing Target Operating Models, current state analysis (As is), future state analysis (To be), process optimization, data optimization, data analytics, data management.
  • Certified in project management or agile management
  • Fluent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English, other languages are highly preferred
  • Willingness to work in a global environment where travel is regularly required for several clients
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good listening skills, inquisitive nature, intellectual curiosity and self-starter qualities
  • Demonstrated ability to present complex information in a concise and clear manner
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management (EY and clients)
  • Experience working on multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% to 80% of the time
