What you’ll achieve

As a

You will:

• Work closely with customers to clearly understand their unique requirements.Assess feasibility of the requested solution and develop a validation strategy that balances speed and risk

• Bring together teams across Dell and our Development Partners/ODMs to create and deliver on a positive outcome for our customers

• Evaluates technical options and represents business requirements to the engineering organization through responses to the market requirement documents and detailed functional specifications

• Lead and mentor through any technical issues that arise during development activities

• Own multiple projects concurrently from inception to factory release

Essential Requirements

• 12 to 15 years of related experience

• Advanced understanding of appropriate system architectures

• Deep knowledge of hardware and software interactions, and ability to apply this understanding to resolve issues

• Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt technical discussions to varying audiences

• Experience with vendor/ODM management

• Ability to lead, motivate and direct a workgroup

You will:

• You will coordinate across multiple BIOS and firmware teams, aligning technical execution with business goals
• You will manage dependencies, risks, and deliverables across projects for BIOS and firmware on Dell’s client products
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and productivity
• Provide technical oversight, understanding architecture and platform-level impacts (e.g., BIOS, firmware, drivers)
• Facilitate Scrum Events: Daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives

Essential Requirements

• 10+ years ofrelevant experience in operational strategy, scrum master, or related role within a technology or engineering organization, with a master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields
• Knowledge or relevant deployment experience of the PC ecosystem with a focus in BIOS and embedded FW features for client products
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and storytelling skills
• Experience driving organizational change and managing cross-functional teams
• Familiar with software/firmware development process

You will:

• Take part in the full software development life cycle including architecture, design, development, test, continuous delivery and support of UEFI BIOS
• Lead next generation BIOS architecture design, ensuring it is modular, portable, resilient, and secure
• Lead BIOS development as an active member of an agile team, collaboratively realizing features through development, test and deliver
• Mentor team members in design collaboration, code reviews, development tools and processes

Essential Requirements

• 12+ years ofrelevant experience in the architecture,design and development of BIOS/UEFI/PC Firmwarewith a master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related discipline.
• Knowledge or relevant deployment experience of the PC ecosystem with a focus on silicon initialization, memory initialization, storage, security, in-band/out-of-band manageability in BIOS
• Experience with multiple programming languages; operating systems; device drivers; databases; system, network; embedded software/firmware; tools and utilities. Ability to code/debug and guide others to code/debug flexible, scalable and complex programs, using either written or verbal design specifications
• Experience with the security development life cycle,including technical understanding of common security vulnerabilities and risks, and countermeasures
• Fluent in utilization of sourcecode analysis tools such as Fortify, Coverity, Clang, and AI assistant tools for development.Ability to learn new tools, languages and operating systems with some training and on-the-job experience
