The Customer Quality Reliability Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:
- identifying and researching component failures to improve product yield, quality and reliability.
- Evaluates the electrical and mechanical characteristics of integrated circuits, components, subcomponents, and systems to determine the root cause of failure.
- Analyzes products reported as failing and recommends corrective action to prevent reoccurrence of the problem.
- Using both digital and analog test equipment to do board level and component level failure analysis and debug.
- Continuous improvement of the failure analysis process Proliferating learning across the debug lab network.
- Maintain necessary records and debug reports in 8D format.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant discipline.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in debug of electronic systems or components.
- Knowledge of Intel Architecture and a good understanding of the PC system basics and CPU microarchitecture, the BIOS, interrupt system, JTAG, Cache, Memory (DDR4), SATA, USB3, PCIe etc.
- Strong data analysis and technical report writing skills.
- Proven ability in using structured problem solving techniques to solve complex problems.
- Experience and competence in a Lab environment, using tools such as Oscilloscopes, Logic Analysers and In-System Debug tools is required.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working in the automotive industry
- Knowledge of Quality systems and automotive methodologies eg. 8D and FMEA.
- Experience debugging with Lauterbach and ITP in target probes.
