Job responsibilities
- Focus on data strategy and support for the Digital and Data Transformation Agenda.
- Ensure that the correct data models and data quality rules are in place under a strategic framework.
- Ensure that we are consuming data from the correct system and from a legal and compliance perspective.
- Ensure that the data is clean allowing us to increase our digital footprint and improve our client service and operational efficiency.
- Manage the defining and testing of data quality rules to ensure that it is fit for purpose, identifying any issues that require remediation.
- Draft data models against our critical systems such as our digital platform and KYC / party maintenance systems to identify control gaps and efficiencies opportunity .
- Represent IPB CDO in Privacy forum and assist business stakeholders in navigating any data usage and governance processes.
- Prepare presentations and materials for stakeholder reviews, project team meetings and leadership reviews.
- Manage partnerships with key stakeholders including, Operations, Technology, Business Managers and Advisors.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience or equivalent expertise in Data Governance or a relevant domain area.
- Ability to think strategically but acting tactically where necessary to deliver business value.
- Knowledge of client data and related data privacy rules.
- Ability to work effectively and build strong relationships with teams across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to dive into details and synthetize information for executive communication.
- Advanced skills with the core MS Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); standard PM tools (e.g. MS Project).
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience of foundational Data sets (Party, Account, instrument etc).
- Familiarity with extracting manipulating and visualization of complex data sets – e.g. using Alteryx, Tableau, Qlik.
- Knowledge and understanding of the IPB systemic architecture and data dependencies.
