We have an opportunity for experienced Lead System Engineer to join emerging Centre of Excellence fordevelopment of flight control electromechanical actuators for broad portfolioof aircrafts. Become a key person in a product development team that isdefining the future of Aerospace. You are assumed to take technicalresponsibility of development of actuation systems of (electromechanicalactuators and controllers) and you will encompass the complete product designand development life cycle including, system concept development, design,build, qualification, flight test support and certification. You will cooperateclosely with global Honeywell resources and external suppliers to define andalign product designs with customer’s system requirements.
Responsibilities
- Technical leadership of Electro-Mechanical Flight Control Actuation System development team (System level Lead System Engineer)
- Coordinating Equipment Level System Engineers and other functional groups (Electrical, Hardware, Mechanical, Software, Test Services, Safety, etc.) involved in development of actuation systems.
- Responsible for Actuation system level architectural decisions, defining, supervising and evaluation trade studies justifying architectural decisions
- Primary point of contact for external and internal customers, negotiation of technical specification and architecture
- Responsible for Actuation system level requirement specification and requirement management
- Responsible for of equipment level specifications (Actuators & Control units)
- Mentoring and providing guidance to less experienced colleagues
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in relevant technical field – Aerospace, Electronics, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering and strong technical background and multi-disciplined skills (electrical, hardware, software, mechanical)
- At least 8 years industry experience of which minimum of 4 years of experience as system engineer of aerospace product development (complex products qualify only)
- At least basic knowledge of aerospace standards and guidelines (DO-160, DO-178, DO-254, ARP-4754, ARP4761, etc.), understanding Safety and/or Reliability analyses methods and tools
- Experience with definition and verification of technical requirements
- Knowledge of aerospace product development cycle/processes is a must have.
