PI – SC&O (Supply Chain & Operations)– Senior Consultant

As part of our EY-GDS team, you will be expected to support sourcing and procurement engagements, such as sourcing direct/indirect categories, conducting spend analyses / market intelligence, identifying cost reduction or process improvement opportunities, contract analysis, vendor management, performance management, purchasing & expediting and P2P etc.

We’re looking for Senior Consultant “3-7 years of Exp ( Senior Consultant)”, consulting / industry experience across sourcing in-direct categories, supplier development, supplier risk management, procurement operating model design / implementation and procure to pay process transformation.

Your key responsibilities

• Candidate will work with the extended team and/or client to design and deliver actionable supply chain transformation projects
• Working on strategic sourcing, spend analysis, opportunity assessments & cost optimization, category management, supplier evaluation, RFP/RFQ creation and analysis
• Conduct supplier negotiations and deliver savings
• Exposure to contract management, obligation management, supplier risk & compliance management.
• Support business development activities through both leading pursuits and developing strong relationships with existing clients
• Develop current state assessment, gap assessment, create future state operating models, governance frameworks and participate/conduct workshops
• Work with large spend data and infer the insights and pattern
• Review and validate data and further build analytical reports and presentations
• Conduct secondary research/market intelligence to back client deliverables

Skills and attributes for success

• Understanding of tools / levers / concepts like strategic sourcing, global sourcing, e-sourcing, total cost of ownership, early vendor involvement etc.
• Experienced in strategic sourcing of indirect spend categories [IT (Hardware, software, services), Professional services, MRO, Marketing, Facilities Management, Logistics sourcing, Temporary/Contingent Labor, Travel & Expense, HR, packaging, etc]
• Strong communication, presentation and team building skills and experience in producing high quality reports, papers, and presentations.
• Ability to identify cost optimization opportunities in one or more areas covering purchasing category management, Engineered / Designed goods, indirect spends, contracts / services procurement & administration.
• Handson experience into Coupa, Ariba, Ivalua, Icertis, Zycus and worked as a business consultant into its functional roles
• Exposure toanalytical and reporting tools like Power BI in addition to expertise in advanced excel, alteryx, Tableau

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Master’s degree OR MBA OR Master’s in Supply Chain & Operations.
• 3-7 years of work experience in Supply Chain and Operations projects
• Atleast one year of consulting experience
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience in procurement strategy, category management, contract management, spend analytics, should cost models
• Experience in operating model redesign, governance frameworks, strategic sourcing, cost modelling.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Project management skills
• Exposure toanalytical and reporting tools like Power BI in addition to expertise in advanced excel
