You will be responsible for building services for our SaaS platform, including building Kubernetes controllers, applying GitOps practices, and developing within React and across our platform while working in a highly scalable SaaS environment. You’ll also get to work with engineers from other teams to build new features and capabilities across Elastic.
What you will be doing- Collaborate with other Elastic engineering teams when working on cross team efforts
- Discuss ideas and collaborate on finding good solutions for innovative challenges.
- Mentor new team members, both junior and senior.
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
- Work in a distributed team.
- Professional and in-depth experience with Java with strong analytical, debugging, and solving skills.
- Working understanding of Kubernetes and its ecosystem.
- Ability to communicate well with individuals and groups to accomplish a common set of goals.
- Ability to work independently.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and communication between services
- Experience with Kubernetes Operators development
- Experience with working in a Kubernetes based SaaS environment
- Knowledge of Elasticsearch
- React or related app development.
- Swagger and Restful API development.
