What you’ll be spending your time on:
- Owning and operationalizing the regional business plan for Checkout, with specific outcome-oriented go-to-market plans for countries and teams in APAC
- Driving business metrics and meeting KPIs that cover retention and growth of the existing customer portfolio, acquisition of new customers, revenue, profitability
- Supporting in-market sales teams in orchestrating activities across the sales funnels (including Marketing, Lead Generation, Partnerships, Account Management) to ensure a strong and sustained pipeline of opportunities, and quick and efficient conversion aimed at securing as much share of wallet as possible
- Demonstrating a high degree of entrepreneurial spirit in identifying and pursuing new customer verticals and segments
- Driving acquisition of high value cross-border eCommerce merchants across the region
- Ensuring customer profitability and retention by identifying and pursuing opportunities that serve the holistic payments in and out needs of our customers
- Keeping a strong pulse on market competition, opportunities and challenges; sharing actionable insights and customer feedback with regional and global stakeholders, aimed at continually strengthening our value proposition and competitive position in the market
- Effectively collaborating, creating visibility and influencing in a complex cross-functional global organization
- Supporting the hiring process, and training / guiding new team members
For this role you also have:
- Deep understanding of the e-commerce payments ecosystem, including shop platforms, Checkout products and card acquiring and processing
- Proven, outcome-focused outbound sales experience, with demonstrated proficiency in using lead generation and pipeline management tools, research and exploration, engagement with industry associations and other entrepreneurial channels to exceed your goals
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills that enable you to partner closely with Lead Generation, Partnerships, Marketing, Operations, Customer Service and other functions, in achieving shared objectives and KPIs
- Innate ability to understand payments technology and lead with a technical sales mindset
- Experience in structuring and negotiating commercial deals for Payoneer Checkout and for product bundles that address prospects’ holistic money in/out needs
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with an ability to forge trusting and collaborate relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong drive for excellence that motivates you to continually improve and develop your skills
- Clarity of thought, sense of urgency and independence in delivering your goals with minimal guidance
Skills, Qualification and Experience
- 8+ years of business development experience, with 4+ years in the payments industry selling eCommerce payments and/or acquiring solutions to SMBs/SMEs
- Track record of meeting and exceeding business goals and KPIs
- Analytical mindset – strong in data backed decision-making
- Able to drive operational excellence through innovative initiatives
- Proficiency in English is required and additional Asian language considered a plus
Not a must but a great advantage:
- Hands-on experience in the following markets: Vietnam, Pakistan, S. Korea, Singapore, Thailand
- Experience in identifying, structuring, building and growing partnerships aimed at strengthening Payoneer’s value proposition and accelerating growth
