We are looking for validation engineers to Conduct validation and debug of operating system software through the design and development of software validation environment. Creates validation plans and associated methodologies, as well as debugging failures. Writes validation standards and procedures, analyzes the results to ensure correct functionality, determines root causes of failures, and recommends or develops corrective action. Assesses the state of the art and employs new methods to improve quality and product release efficiency.
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications: -
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Mathematics or Computer/Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
Software development/integration/validation
At least 2 years of experience in software development in Python.
Domain knowledge in the areas of Linux kernel, hypervisors and open source operating systems
Familiarity with Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Red Hat, SUSE, or others
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Passion to work with the open source community
Strong drive for automation. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
