This role will also periodically have on-call manager responsibilities that will exist outside of standard working hours.Key job responsibilities
The successful candidate will be operationally responsible for a Data Center. Some high-level responsibilities include:
- Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators
- Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels
- Ensure effective and efficient management of day to day data center operations including queue management, 7/24 shift arrangement and hardware logistics
- Fast learn or act as the subject matter expert across all aspects in data center operations
- Ensure all operational KPIs and metrics are being measured and met- Manage Large Scale Events (outages) and act as the call leader
- Manage and improve the work-flows and through-put for data centers operations
- Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and to meet required SLAs
- Maintain the on-call schedule coordinating absence and vacations

- A Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of professional or military experience in an IT related field.
- 2+ years of experience managing people in a technical environment.
- 2+ years of experience with Networking, or Computer hardware.

- In-depth knowledge of Linux systems administration, Networking and knowledge of cabling best practices
- In-depth hardware architectures knowledge and troubleshooting experience
- Experience with system management tools and client/server environments
- Technical writing experience and prior project management experience

You will work with teams across the AWS Organization to plan and deliver customer capacity to the local data center installation & deployment technicians to facilitate smooth capacity execution. You will assess the demand requirements along with available network resources to determine and drive prime solutions for our customers. You will work with stakeholders to complete pre-requisites necessary to deliver critical capacity.
Key job responsibilities- Knowledge of rack installation and cabling requirements.
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
- Familiarity with common networking and server hardware terms.
- Ensure adherence to timelines and SLAs.

Key job responsibilities
- Assisting in the operation, and maintenance of all, mechanical, Electrical and HVAC equipment within the Data Center/Facility.
- Develop work plan for emergency repair of critical assets.
- Troubleshooting of all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems,
- Operate under minimal supervision.
- Create and close Work Orders with appropriate data, to include labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used into asset management system
- Maintain changes in state in Mission Critical infrastructure in support of corrective/ preventive maintenance
- Testing: Test quality, performance, safety, and reliability of products, equipment, processes
- Act as a front line responder for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, AHU’s, chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatment systems, pumps, motors, VFD’s, and building automation systems.You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.
