A typical day in this role involves collaborating with technology leaders, contributing to the enhancement of day-to-day operations, and ensuring improvements in availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency of the ESC. You will be required to occasionally participate in “on-call” rotations to resolve incidents occurring out-of-hours.Utility Computing (UC)

* This position involves On-call responsibility.A day in the lifeOver the course of a week, this could look like; Monday morning you root caused why some deployments recently failed, and in the afternoon, you made fixes for those bugs. Tuesday and Wednesday you executed a highly sensitive time critical change to production. Thursday and Friday you were developing software with your team to remove humans from the loop on problems like you worked on over the previous two days, driving a common source of error out of the system and improving its reliability.About the team

- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
- Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby

- Experience operating services in AWS
- Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
- Experience operating 24x7 high-availability, distributed software applications
