We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to take part in the design and development of next-generation performance engineering frameworks. In this role, you will focus on Python-based benchmarking and analysis systems, while also contributing to high-performance components in C/C++. You’ll work on challenges at the intersection of networking, distributed computing, and AI, building tools that run at scale on clusters, clouds, and data centers.

What you'll be doing:

• Design and implement performance benchmarking and analysis frameworks for next-generation AI and HPC workloads

• Work across Python (primary) and C/C++ (for performance-critical modules) to deliver reliable and scalable tools

• Take full technical ownership of our core telemetry engine, including utilizing Jupyter Notebooks and other data analysis frameworks to help performance engineers analyze telemetry results.

• Contribute to our DevOps environment, owning the CI/CD pipelines and release processes for your projects

• Drive technical innovation in the performance engineering ecosystem, including taking part in building our next-gen agentic AI assistant

What we need to see:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, or a related engineering field

• 3+ years of professional software development experience

• A proven track record of technical ownership, driving a technical agenda, and problem solving

• High-level Python development skills, building robust, well-structured, production-grade applications

• C/C++ experience, especially for performance-critical or low-level components

• Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Linux systems knowledge, including software packaging (RPM, DEB), and an understanding of the complexities of software distribution and dependencies

• Experience with the Python data analysis and visualization frameworks (e.g., h5py, pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib/Plotly)

• Experience with Slurm, Kubernetes, MPI, or other distributed job orchestration and cluster management systems

• Familiarity with agentic AI concepts or frameworks (e.g., RAG techniques, LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, etc.)

• Experience contributing to open-source projects

Key job responsibilities

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP
- Experience programming in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar object oriented language

- Experience with AWS products and services
- Experience with any combination of the following: threat modeling, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration and network security

What You'll Be Doing:

• Use internally developed tools and industry standard pre-silicon gate-level and RTL power analysis tools, to help improve product power efficiency.

• Develop and share best practices for performing pre-silicon power analysis.

• Perform comparative power analysis, to spot trends and anomalies, that warrant more scrutiny.

• Interact with architects and RTL designers to help them interpret their power data and identify power bugs; drive them to implement fixes.

• Select and run a wide variety of workloads for power analysis.

• Prototype a new architectural feature in Verilog and analyze power.

What We Need To See:

• BSc/MSc in EE or related fields with 7+ years of experience.

• Strong understanding of concepts of energy consumption, estimation, data movement and low power design.

• Familiarity with Verilog and ASIC design principles, including knowledge of Power Artist, PTPX (Prime Power RTL, RTL Architect).

• Good and interpersonal skills; much collaboration with design teams is expected.

• Strong coding/automation skills, preferably in Python and Perl.

• Desire to bring data-driven decision-making and analytics to improve our products.

- BSc in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- 4+ years of experience in at least one of the following domains: Power analysis and optimization, Logic design, Backend design, Chip Verification.
- Deep understanding in the domains of your previous expertise and a sound understanding of overall chip design cycle.

- Ability to handle multidisciplinary tasks that require knowledge in different chip design domains.
- Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate and cooperate with other teams to complete tasks.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: C, Python, Perl.
- Team player, with the ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
