What You’ll Do
  • Work with the Marketing Programs Lead in Europe and other marketing team members to develop targeted strategies and execute activities that enable the Tesla Residential Energy channel sales teams and our partners to hit their sales targets, esp. in Germany, but also across the region

  • You are responsible for developing and executing Tesla Energy’s email marketing strategy nurturing leads. This includes defining the topic calendar per country, ensuring adequate targeting, timely deployments and analysis of results.

  • Work with our internal Design, Engineering, Sales and Content teams as well as external vendors to develop consistent and tailored localized messaging for different channels to increase Powerwall awareness and consideration understanding where our products fit in the market in different countries

  • Plan and execute trade shows, in-store events or webinars to grow Powerwall awareness and the Certified Installer network.

  • Prepare and run various marketing activities for new product, country or feature launches

  • Source, negotiate and execute marketing partnerships to increase Powerwall awareness and generate leads

What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years hands-on work experience developing growth and marketing strategies, driving brand awareness, generating leads and executing results-based marketing programs

  • Experience working with CRM systems A strong understanding of channels and communication approaches (email, in-app, push, SMS). Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into insights and initiatives. Experience in monitoring and improving multi-channel CRM journey.

  • Proficient in delivering events and exhibitions of varying size and scales, as well as webinars, with a focus on preparation and execution, managing timelines, budgets, logistics, and coordination with internal stakeholders. Analyze event success and provide actionable insights and recommendations for the future.

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field, or evidence of exceptional ability and experience

  • Strong sense of ownership, willingness to drive projects and deliver results

  • Proficiency in building clear, compelling value propositions that can be expressed in a variety of media to all levels of the organization

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in German and English. French being a plus

  • Experience working in business-to-business (B2B) roles or the renewable industry is a plus

  • Ability to travel (~20%), mainly within Europe, but could include global destinations

  • Develop and maintain highly productive partner accounts
  • Proactively identify opportunities to close gap to target and/or grow volume sales within assigned channel
  • Provide input on the development of dedicated marketing/sales material needed for accounts success
  • Identify new partners and close sales contracts
  • Ensure accounts’ finances are in order and support partner growth
  • Build and maintain relationships across the organization of partner accounts; convey Tesla product and feature roadmap
  • Anticipate product or offering needs from partner accounts
  • Provide product feedback to technical team regarding fit and applicability of product design and offering
  • Evaluate new business opportunities with current and new accounts and/or sales channels, identify suitable product offerings, and take ownership of capturing these opportunities
  • Provide key market insights into broader business team
  • Provide high fidelity sales forecasts to business and manufacturing teams, including an up to date bottoms up forecast of individual account performance versus forecast for key accounts
  • Support evaluating market dynamics across sectors (utility, commercial & industrial, residential, etc.) and drivers (policy/regulatory, economics, etc.)
  • Represent Tesla at sales and marketing events promoting Powerwall products
  • Help identify and support implementation of initiatives to maintain or improve partner training, partner installation quality, and to improve Tesla operations and fulfilment and Tesla support
  • Provide user / customer feedback to IT development teams regarding Tesla tools, systems and to Operations regarding processes
What You’ll Bring
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in B2B Sales or Business Development in the solar/battery storage industry
  • Strong knowledge of the UK's residential and small commercial solar and battery storage markets
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in English

What to Expect

As a (Senior) Algorithms Engineer, you will be responsible for steering the evolution of Autobidder's bidding and automation algorithms. This includes rapid iterations when entering new markets and devising sophisticated algorithmic approaches to optimize revenues and increase automation in advanced markets. You will develop deep expertise in electricity markets and leverage your technical skills to craft algorithms that help Autobidder deliver best-in-class performance. You will be intimately familiar with the performance and operational nuances of assets operated by Autobidder and will serve as the feedback loop between operational learnings and algorithmic advancements to ensure our algorithms deliver real-world value. You will own production systems and be responsible for their performance, reliability, and availability. Your work will help proliferate battery storage and renewable projects around the globe.

What You’ll Do
  • Algorithm Development: Design, implement, and maintain production code for sophisticated bidding, optimization, simulation, and forecasting algorithms
  • Research and Innovation: Prototype, benchmark, deploy and monitor advanced algorithmic features that account for uncertainties in prices and clearing outcomes, optimally allocate quantities to maximize risk adjusted revenues, reason about interactions with strategic competitors, account for influence of quantity on clearing prices, etc. for large fleets of utility-scale storage assets and Virtual Power Plants
  • Domain Expertise: Become an expert in electricity markets and grid, and the various facets of operating in them
  • Technical Leadership: Guide algorithmic decisions to balance performance and complexity, and make thoughtful design and infrastructure choices that facilitate a positive developer experience in the long run
  • Tooling, Simulation and Monitoring: Develop tooling and simulation systems to monitor and track field performance of assets. Define metrics to quantify, track, and improve specific areas of performance, and drive algorithm changes to enhance asset performance under management
  • Roadmap Planning, Product and Business Development: Plan technical roadmaps and lead execution. Inform product definition and business development
  • Mentorship and cross-functional collaboration: Mentor and develop a growing team of exceptional algorithm engineers. Work with ML engineers, traders, market analysts, and software engineers to ensure algorithms drive end-to-end value
What You’ll Bring
  • 4+ years' experience in developing and maintaining production software systems
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages, such as Python
  • Experience in writing high-quality production code
  • Experience in building real-world products and solutions using numerical optimization technology (LP, MILP, nonlinear optimization, etc.) and solvers such as Gurobi, XPRESS, GLPK, CPLEX, etc.
  • Knowledge of the energy and electricity market

Preferred, additional skills:

  • Domain expertise in forecasting, analysis, or trading in the GB electricity market (or other electricity markets)
  • Experience with cloud-hosted systems and related tooling, including compute services (e.g. EC2, GCP Compute Engine) and container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Expertise in numerical optimization, operations research, and related mathematical fields, such as stochastic control, optimal control, and computational finance
  • Experience in researching, developing, and deploying new algorithmic strategies to solve complex optimization problems, including decision-making under uncertainty, scenario optimization, MDPs, financial risk modeling, and distributed/decentralized control
