Senior Legal Counsel Southern Europe jobs at Tesla in Spain, Madrid

Provide support to the Tesla Energy team during the sales and specification phase of turnkey projects:

• Be responsible for the identification and management of approved contractors
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents
• Manage the tender process
• Visit and evaluate potential project sites as required
• Meet with customers / contractors as required
• Comment on proposals and contracts as required

Assist with the design and permitting phase of turnkey projects:

• Support the approval / permitting process of new projects
• Liaise with contractors, installers and customers as required
• Be responsible for the appointment of selected contractor(s)

Manage the installation and commissioning phase of turnkey projects:

• Liaise with customers, contractors and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered to the agreed timetable
• Ensure work is of a high quality, meets relevant codes, best practices and Tesla requirements, safety plans & documentation; inspect sites and enforce H&S compliance as necessary
• Ensure projects are delivered cost effectively and to budget

Work with the wider Tesla Energy team to:

• Gather and disseminate the H&S and regulatory requirements of the local market
• Provide feedback from the design, installation and commissioning process
• Perform other duties as required

• Relevant work experience, including significant first-hand experience of: selecting, procuring and managing contractors; management of high value commercial and industrial electrical projects
• Experience of managing Health and Safety
• Relevant H&S qualifications
• Knowledge of local codes and regulations
• An ability to prioritize and execute many tasks in parallel
• Excellent attention to detail and an ability to produce clear and concise written documents
• Professional fluency in English and Spanish is required

In addition the following knowledge or experience would be highly beneficial:

• Experience of working with DNOs and facilitating grid connections
• Electrical Inspection and Test
• Working with MV/HV

• Be a legal trusted advisor for all Tesla business leads in your region
• Support all sales and services initiatives (B2C and B2B), including drafting and reviewing terms and conditions, as well as all related legal matters
• Provide legal advice for marketing of sales initiatives, the Tesla website and other customer communications
• Draft and review contracts relating to Tesla real estate for showrooms and service centers
• Draft and review contracts relating to Tesla’s fast growing Supercharger business incl. support of all other related legal matters Manage all regulatory matters relating to Tesla products in your regions
• Manage all other legal day-to-day work
• Liaise regularly with your peers in EMEA, the EMEA Litigation team as well as all relevant global team members and stakeholders

• You are a qualified lawyer in either Italy, Spain or Portugal, with experience at a law firm and/or in-house corporate international environment, ideally with a background in being a country/regional lawyer, with an exceptional ability to handle a high workload of complex legal matters at the same time
• You are a team player with the ability to proactively identify problems, drive projects, and execute pragmatic/creative legal and business solutions on a timely basis
• You inspire trust, forge relationships quickly with key stakeholders at all levels, and earn the confidence and cooperation of your business partners
• You work well both autonomously, collaboratively and transparently, and are effective at juggling and prioritizing competing tasks in a fast-paced, challenging environment
• You possess an entrepreneurial mindset, quick and flexible learner, with high standards, impeccable integrity and ethics, unquestionable good judgment, well-honed analytical skills
• You have excellent communication skills, with a business level to near native level fluency in English, Italian, Spanish, French and/or Portuguese (written and spoken)
