Your future role:

In this role, you will join the Engineering team. You will be working closely together with product and program managers, developers and architects of all SaaS Platforms and be a key contributor in a large organization that is responsible for the engineering and evolution of SAP Sovereign Cloud's product portfolio. You will have the opportunity to solve the complex challenges of scale and security which are unique to SAP Sovereign Cloud, while using your ability in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis and large-scale system design. You will engage closely with the SAP Sovereign Cloud Operations, Platform, and Application engineering teams and jointly help to ensure that relevant SAP product development teams can execute against their requirements backlog derived from government security control frameworks.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for defining and implementing the build, deployment and monitoring standards for customers
• Drive the innovations and build tool sets for local cloud delivery and operations team.
• Be part of Agile development teams to deliver an end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in a cloud environment;
• Create scripts and/or templates to automate and/or bootstrap infrastructure provisioning and management tasks;
• Work closely with SAP Lob and Local cloud delivery and operations team to create an automated continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) system;

• Extensive Cloud Expertise : Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure including services like Azure DevOps, AKS, AVD, Azure Functions, App Services, Virtual Networks, and Storage .
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Proficiency in Terraform and ARM templates to automate cloud infrastructure deployment.
• CI/CD Mastery : Expertise in setting up, managing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins , ensuring smooth and automated deployments.
• Kubernetes & Containerization : Strong understanding of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) , Docker , and Helm charts , with experience in orchestrating containerized applications.
• Security & Compliance : Solid grasp of Azure Security best practices, RBAC, IAM, networking security (NSGs, ASGs), and governance policies to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
• Monitoring & Logging : Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and Prometheus/Grafana for observability and performance monitoring.
• Scripting & Automation : Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, and Python , along with automation frameworks like Ansible .
• Collaboration & Problem-Solving : Ability to work closely with development, security, and operations teams, applying DevOps methodologies to streamline processes and enhance system reliability.
• Performance Optimization : Expertise in tuning cloud applications for cost efficiency, scalability, and high availability , leveraging Azure Autoscaling, Load Balancers, and Traffic Manager .
• Due to the potentially classified nature of our work, you might required to subject yourself to a governmental security clearance process ( )

WORK EXPERIENCE

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Azure Hyperscale/DevOps.
• Over 10 years of experience in DevOps roles, driving automation, scalability, and operational excellence.

What you'll do

Duration: 6 months + possible prolongation

As a Business Support Associate for Data Validation, you will work exclusively with SAP internal colleagues from Fulfillment, Provisioning, Sales & Customer Success to clarify and resolve data inconsistencies for cloud systems.

As a Business Support Associate, you work out of an automated ticketing system but may engage in consultations or email escalations.

Core tasks include:

• Analyze data in the system to understand the current state of a customer’s tenant with accuracy, thoroughness and a high level of quality.
• Initiate the appropriate action (e.g., reach-out, fast-track) in each case reviewed.
• Communicate information and present options effectively to the Account Team to facilitate efficient and fast decision-making.
• Transform sales decisions or data evidence in the system into the appropriate transaction (e.g., closure, blocking).
• Champion our systems, processes, data, confidentiality, and compliance.
• Participate in a Cloud-oriented essential mission that has the ultimate goal to make SAP more compliant in it’s provisioning and fulfillment activities.
• Ad hoc: Collaborate with other team members, continuously build know-how, and contribute to the evolution of our systems and processes by sharing gaps observed in daily activities. Defines and shares best practices.
