What you will do

You will be part of a 24/7 HANA Cloud Operations team responsible for monitoring SAP cloud solutions. Your immediate action will be to restore availability in case of service disruption or degradation. As a HANA Cloud Operations Engineer, you will drive customer communication and ongoing investigation in collaboration with internal development teams. As part of our ITIL framework, you will be responsible for ongoing escalation and bridge calls with the affected Line of Businesses until service restoration is provided. You will also be actively involved in post-incident continuous improvement activities as part of problem management and execute maintenance activities. The team you will join operates multiple products deployed on different infrastructures and hyperscalers. YOUR FUTURE ROLE

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

- Design and implement resilient, scalable, and self-healing infrastructure building blocks targeting zero downtime.

- Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and recovery — “automate everything” is our mantra.

- Building and manage integration points between OMS applications and outbound systems (gateways and event buses)

- Define and maintain observability practices: monitoring, logging, alerting, and tracing.

WORK EXPERIENCE

- 5+ years in a DevOps, Site Reliability, or InfraOps role.

- Deep knowledge in implementing and managing Kubernetes environments.

- Solid knowledge of cloud infrastructure components (networking, firewalls, load balancers, security, storage, databases – CosmosDB, Postgres).

- Hands-on experience on High availability and Disaster recovery setups.

- Strong background in event-driven systems using technologies such as Confluent Kafka

- Experience running cloud services on top of public cloud platforms (Azure required, GCP and AWS are a plus)

- Experience on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Infrastructure as Data (IaD). Using Crossplane technology is a plus
