What you'll do:

As an HR Data Management Associate, you will be responsible for managing SAP employee data according to the highest standards of quality and compliance. This will be done through SAP software such as SuccessFactors. The efficiency and quality of our work is critical because all processes, stakeholders, and decisions depend on the data we manage throughout the entire employee journey. The beauty of being a part of a global team is that you will also have various opportunities for career growth and to initiate or participate in projects focused on HR processes, data, digital transformation and much more.

Day to Day Tasks:

• Generate employment contracts for candidates and create employee profiles for new hires in SuccessFactors (HCM).
• Transfer data of employees who are moving to different teams/locations.
• Manage employee personal data changes, such as marital status, bank details, etc., in APJ location.
• Update employment/career changes including, but not limited to, promotions, compensation changes, and terminations.
• Process payment requests for employees from other HR functions.
• Develop a deep understanding of HR processes to serve as an advisor to customers while providing an excellent service experience.
• Perform quality checks on maintained data to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Take advantage of opportunities for team's innovative projects that help drive SAP's technology, while improving our data management processes.

What you’ll do

Large Language Models (LLMs) hold immense potential to change the way we work and develop products. They are reshaping the landscape of Machine Learning across various domains. However, deploying Large Language Models (LLM) for business applications presents challenges due to their lack of knowledge about structured and unstructured assets involving business data models, business process metadata and documentation, which slows the development progress. It is SAP's mission to overcome this challenge within the realm of Business AI. Our goal is to provide SAP Knowledge Graph as the key differentiator to address LLM challenges like hallucination and compliance, as well as enable the development of the foundation models on structured data to deliver distinctive generative AI solutions to our customers.
For our growing team we are looking for a Data Science Manager (f/m/) based in Walldorf or Berlin taking on the following responsibilities:

• Lead the team responsible for content development and enrichment of SAP Knowledge Graph
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and partners, understanding their requirements and driving customer-centric high-value Knowledge Graph (KG) and AI solutions.
• Support hiring, onboarding and performance management of teams fostering collaboration, innovation and deliver high-impact work.
• Lead and mentor multiple teams across locations comprising data scientists, cloud, data and knowledge engineers and research scientists, including regular alignment with the Chief Expert of Knowledge Graphs and Semantic Technologies.
• Communicate effectively the team's progress, challenges, and strategic insights to stakeholders.
• Drive design, development, and deployment of knowledge graph solutions, ensuring alignment with SAP business objectives.

What you bring

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Physics, or other relevant disciplines; PhD degree is a plus but not mandatory.
• 10+ years of related industry experience with a deep understanding of enterprise business processes and systems.
• Vast experience in AI and KG projects with proven technical skills in the RDF knowledge graph stack
• Experience in people management, with a demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing AI and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Understanding of SAP data, solutions and technologies, and an ability to integrate AI capabilities with SAP applications. Extensive experience with structured data and relevant use cases.
• Proven track record of exemplary leadership and strategic mindset, complemented by superior organizational abilities.
• Strong drive to deliver value to internal and external customers, with a history of understanding customer needs and translating to technical capabilities.
• Experience in driving development, evaluation and implementation of KG-based solutions is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of spearheading complex AI projects, with a demonstrable understanding of how to align technical teams and business goals.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively and to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organizatio

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive market research, including customer interviews and competitor analysis to identify integration needs and opportunities
• Develop and maintain product strategy and roadmap for SAP IBP integration with SAP S/4 HANA and SAP ERP systems
• Define and prioritize integration features, creating clear user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team
• Manage the product backlog and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in Germany, Hungary, and the United States throughout the development process
• Monitor and analyze integration performance metrics to inform data-driven decision-making and product improvements
• Coordinate integration solution launches and present updates to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of product value and features
• Gather and incorporate customer feedback to drive continuous improvement of integration solutions

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in product management or consulting, preferably in supply chain software
• Strong understanding of SAP IBP, SAP S/4 HANA, and SAP ERP systems
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to articulate business problems into technical language and present technical details in clear, easy-to-follow business language
• Experience with product discovery techniques and customer-centric design
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and international environment
• Proficiency in product management tools and SAP technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands on experience with integration technologies, e.g., APO-CIF (Core Interface) Integration framework and capabilities
• Experience with SAP S/4 HANA and SAP ERP PP/MM/SD modules in manufacturing industries is a big plus
• Knowledge of SAP IBP functionality and integration frameworks
