Your role:

• Join our team as a Quality Engineer to play a key role in our Product Safety, property and environmental risk management, contributing to the safety & efficacy of medical products that save lives and improve health.

• You will collate post market information, analyse, and then facilitate the decisions needed to manage risk and ensure product safety, including the management of Issue Impact Assessments and Risk Files.

  regulated environment

Your role:

• Supporting the manual software Testing for EC Pro products: including software testing, Defect management, software test lifecycle maintenance activities and automation.

• Contributing to design and development of Test Protocols

• Tests functional and non-functional requirements both manual and/or automated

• Contributing to rigorous engineering based in a scientific approach to design reviews and verification testing aiming to meet customer needs with a strong focus on risk and safety.

• Maintaining team relationships and working with automation counterparts in EC

• Following quality procedures in line with engineering processes needed to attain and maintain medical device regulatory approvals.

You're the right for the role if you have:

• A Bachelor of Engineering or Computing degree or equivalent iin an appropriate engineering/technical discipline.

• Good knowledge and experience of software verification/validation with Behaviour Driven Development and/or Test-Driven Development experience.

• Proven experience in a manual testing role, formulating Test Strategies, Test Plans & Procedures

• Experience in Development and Continuous Integration tools such as ADO, Azure DevOps....etc. would be beneficial;

Your role:

• Coordinating technical capability assessments of potential new suppliers, ensuring they meet stringent quality standards, monitoring supplier performance, reporting, and improvement, and coordinates the supplier selection.

• Overseeing conduction of DFMAT (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly Technique), SAF (Supplier Approval Form), MSA (Measurement System Analysis), PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), Control Plan, SPC (Statistical Process Control), PV&V (Process Validation and Verification), FAI (First Article Inspection), LRA (Logistics Risk Assessment), and SICR (Supplier Initiated Change Request).

• Managing, developing, monitoring, and controlling APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) plans as part of the NPI process to ensure consistent quality and compliance as well as facilitating supplier improvement initiatives.

• Sustains Design for Excellence (DfX) collaboration between R&D and suppliers, promoting innovation and high-quality product design.

• Ensures Critical to Quality (CtQ) characteristics are effectively communicated to suppliers and rigorously maintained throughout the production process.

• Negotiating Supplier Quality Agreements, performing defect analysis to determine supplier responsibility, and acting as an independent reviewer for Supplier Corrective Action Requests.

You’re right for this role if you have:

• A Bachelor's/ Master's Degree in Engineering Science, Supply Chain Management, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or equivalent.

• Relevant experience in areas such as Quality Engineering, Safety Engineering, Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement Techniques or equivalent, gained ideally within the Medical Device industry, but if not a similar regulated sector (Aerospace, Pharmaceutical, Defence, Automotive).

• Managed Supplier Quality Management within a contract manufacturer

• Knowledge of Quality Management Procedures and Methodologies including CAPA, SCAR etc

• Demonstration of Cardiac Ultrasound products at customer sites or hospitals and at conferences/exhibits. Assisting Sales Specialists by providing specialist support to ensure that all equipment is demonstrated to best advantage.

• You will manage post sales customer product training both at customer sites/hospitals and at Philips customer optimization days.

• Following training schedules for the complete range of equipment and train customers in the use of our Ultrasound products and to provide a formal applications report on completion of all applications visits.

• You will maintain contact with existing users ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction and confidence in using Philips Ultrasound equipment.

• You will ensure all clinical applications training, with both new and existing Ultrasound customers, aligns with the Company's Quality Policy.

• Providing feedback to business/marketing management with information on reference sites system performance, competitors’ products, customer reactions and sales initiatives.

• Liaising with the Product Management Group's applications team to ensure that the latest Ultrasound information is available for Users, including attending international meetings where appropriate.

• Providing support at courses delivered by our key accounts/customers.

• Assisting the Business Line Manager in all aspects of marketing, sales and promotion of our Cardiac Ultrasound equipment and provide specialist sales support to the account managers when required.

• Full UK driving license and wiliness to travel extensively a must have

• BSE accreditation in Echocardiography ( or equivalent ) essential

• Post Graduate studies in Clinical Physiology, Echocardiography or Clinical Science

• In-depth clinical experience within Cardiac Ultrasound

• Extensive scanning experience within Cardiology

• Capability to train others on Ultrasound equipment

• Excellent communication skills and positive relationship builder.
