Your role:

As Director of the Philips Museum experience, you will hold a pivotal role in shaping the strategic vision and ensuring continued success. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement a forward-thinking vision for the museum, as a compelling Philips brand experience, building on our mission improving peoplesโ€™ lives with meaningful innovation, with a focus on innovation, design and sustainability.
  • Exhibition Development: Oversee the curation of compelling exhibitions, both permanent and temporary, that engage a diverse group of audiences, including the general public at large, healthcare professionals, students etc and narrate the story of Philipsโ€™ legacy and its vision on the future as a societal relevant player.
  • Visitor Experience: Elevate the visitor experience by integrating state-of-the-art technology and interactive storytelling to captivate audiences of all ages.
  • Team Management: Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team to achieve excellence in all aspects of the museumโ€™s operations
  • Volunteer Engagement: Prioritize the satisfaction and engagement of the museum's volunteers by developing initiatives that recognize their contributions, address their needs, and foster a supportive and inspiring environment.
  • Partnerships and Collaborations: Establish strong relationships with cultural institutions, and the local Brainport community to enhance the museum's profile and outreach. Manage a group of internal stakeholders important to keep the museum experience up to date and reflecting the current strategy and direction.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage the museumโ€™s budget, secure funding through grants and sponsorships, and ensure the financial sustainability of the institution.
  • Education and Outreach: Foster educational programs and initiatives that promote the museum as a learning hub for schools, universities, and the broader public.

We are looking for:

  • Education: A masterโ€™s degree in Museum Studies, History, Business Administration, or a related field. A focus on innovation or technology history is a plus.
  • Professional Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience in museum leadership, cultural management, brand experiential or a similar role, preferably with a focus on technology, science, or innovation.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, strategic planning, and team management skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with proficiency in English. Knowledge of Dutch is a must.
  • Passion for Innovation: A deep appreciation for the history of innovation and an ability to connect technological progress with cultural storytelling.
  • Network: An established network within the museum sector and cultural institutions, or the local Brainport community is highly valued.

Your role:

  • Support the evaluation of innovative (AI) solutions and technologies, contributing to the assessment of their potential to address identified needs and challenges.
  • Develop clinical evaluation documentation supporting regulatory submissions and post-market clinical surveillance strategy.
  • Define and execute (internal and external) clinical and performance studies, leading in protocol development, data collection, and analysis, ensuring robust scientific methodologies.
  • Perform quality reviews, tracking, document control, and management of essential study, clinical evaluation and clinical post market documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of strategic thought leadership materials, including reports, presentations, and publications, to support marketing strategies and organizational objectives.
  • Act as author for documentation and publications resulting from clinical studies, literature reviews, and other research related activities, sharing insights and findings with relevant stakeholders to advance knowledge and drive impact.
  • Conduct research to identify emerging customer needs and trends within the specified domain of diagnosis, treatment, and patient care, informing strategic decision-making and product development initiatives.
  • Implement research initiatives, including intellectual property (IP) assessment, contributing to the development and execution of research protocols.

You're the right fit if:

  • PhD Degree in Biotechnology, Pharmacology, Biomedical Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, or an equivalent field (preferred).
  • Master's Degree in Biotechnology, Pharmacology, Biomedical Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, or an equivalent field, with a strong understanding of research methodologies, clinical study design according to Good Clinical Practices (GCP), and Statistics.
  • Additionally, demonstrated relevant experience in technical domains such as advanced image processing, Artificial Intelligence, or nuclear medicine is preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in areas such as Clinical Research or Clinical Trials, preferably within the Medical Devices or Pharmaceutical Industry, or an equivalent field. With a PhD, No prior experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of Biostatistics.
  • Basic understanding of medical imaging or imaging pros-process (is a plus).
  • Experience as a medical/scientific writer or in an equivalent role.
  • Knowledge of regulatory processes (preferred).

Job Description

In this role you will support Executive(s) in various highly complex tasks and strategic projects by assisting in administrative, organizational, and operational matters as needed and by staying knowledgeable of corporate policies, exercising autonomy within established procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages Executive(s)โ€™ calendar, coordinating complex scheduling needs, ensuring alignment with key business priorities, and proactively identifying potential conflicts and handles high-priority meetings with global stakeholders and ensures that the Executive(s) remain informed on key timelines and milestones.

  • Maintains and organizes records, files, and documents, both electronic and paper-based, for Executive(s).

  • Ensures coordination of travel arrangementsfor Executive(s), including visa applications and booking flights, accommodations and transportation, while adhering to organization policies and budget constraints and ensures preparation of detailed itineraries and contingency plans.

  • Ensures and oversees organization of high-profile events, workshops, and conferences, as required by the Executive(s) including preparing necessary materials, ensuring technical setup, overseeing all logistical elements, liaising with senior stakeholder etc. to deliver a well-managed and successful outcome.

  • Processes expense reportsby collecting, reviewing, and verifying receipts and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with organization policies and procedures and assists in managing budgets (including travel expenses) as directed by the Executive(s).

  • Communicates announcements and important updatesin a clear, concise and accurate way to and from Executive(s) within the department and organization employing a variety of channels such as emails, intranet posts, meetings, and instant messaging platforms for effective reach

  • Supportsin cooperation with Brand & Communication Team and/or Legal Council crisis communication to ensure that all stakeholders are kept informed.

  • Serves as a liaison between the Executive(s) and other stakeholders by handling incoming and outgoing correspondence including emails, letters and phone calls with tact and diplomacy while ensuring prioritization and by screening visitors and acts as a gatekeeper, handling highly sensitive or confidential information with discretion.

  • Assists in collecting and analyzing data to prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and executive summaries, supporting informed decision-making at the highest level and creates complex draft letters, emails, office documents including meetings agendas, minutes and follow-up action items that align with the Executive(s)โ€™ strategic objectives.

  • Act as the coordinator in the daily operation of the Hungarian Philips Office,identifies opportunities for operational improvements, proposing and implementing changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.


You're the right fit if:

  • High School Diploma, Vocational Education/ Bachelor's Degree in any relevant discipline or equivalent.

  • Fluency in Hungarian and English languages, other languages will be preferred

  • Literacy in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Experience in supporting virtual teams

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Administrative Support, Clerical Support or equivalent

  • Strong analytic, self-driven and problem-solving skills
