Job Description

What will you do?

• Explore and apply latest large language models GPT-3, GPT-3.5, GPT-4, Lama, Bert, etc.
• Proactively scan AI vendors landscape in NLP and computer vision.
• Help to assess AI technologies and build prototypes for divisions.
• Deliver enterprise AI projects, products and platforms with a view to maximize the value.
• Work on technical pilots and feasibility studies of new opportunities.
• Participate in internal professional communities of practice and mentor colleagues.
• Raise artificial intelligence and data science maturity within the company.
• Assist in technical training to up-skill colleagues.
• Raise the data science competency levels within the company.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required

• 3+ years of experience in AI Engineering and 2+ years of experience in large-scale software development
• Strong software engineering skills in Python: concurrency, data structures, readability, modularity, etc.
• Experienced in building scalable AI Solutions within a modern technology stack which includes cloud services, data pipelines, database, and other necessary tooling. Familiar with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) technique and vector stores
• Knowledge of Large Language Models landscape such as GPT, BERT, Llama and others
• Experienced with CI/CD and test-driven development
• Experience in building RESTful APIs for AI models
• Solid understanding of machine learning concepts (i.e. neural networks, optimization algorithms, evaluation metrics)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Must be analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• We seek candidates that combine technical depth with the ability to work collaboratively and create impact
• Long-term relevant working experience in fields related to artificial intelligence, software engineering, machine learning, data science
• Understanding of artificial intelligence research landscape in NLP and ability to review research publications
• Domain knowledge in pharmaceutical business areas such as research, clinical, manufacturing, commercial and corporate functions highly regarded
• Ability to communicate and express technical viewpoints to senior stakeholders with succinctness and clarity

Nice to have

• Experience working in Agile Methodology
• Good awareness of agent development space
• Experience with OpenSearch and other databases
• Demonstrated experience in developing and refining prompts for generative AI models, preferably in creative or text generation domains
• Familiarity with developing and deploying within AWS Cloud infrastructure and services environment a plus
• Experience with building, deploying, and managing Docker images
• Knowledge of Natural Language Processing algorithms and models across syntax and semantics as well as usage of common NLP libraries (NLTK, Spacy)

Interning as a Cheminformatician, AI/ML you will:

• Collaborate with a team of software engineers, machine learning experts and cheminformaticians
• Develop new solutions with real-world impact that help scientists understand disease and invent treatment

What should you know / have:

• Current MSc or PhD student
• Strong programming skills
• Strong knowledge of Python
• Familiarity with UNIX systems and bash scripting
• Basic statistics and data visualization (Matplotlib, Plotly, Pandas, Numpy)
