As an Associate in the Cash Management Operations team, you will be tasked with leading a team to ensure regulatory compliance, optimize processes, and maintain high levels of efficiency and accuracy in payment processing. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise in payment processing, leadership skills, and regulatory knowledge, all while maintaining a strong focus on operational excellence to ensure the efficient and compliant handling of payment transactions. You will alsosupport the Payment Ops Head and act as a backup, positioning yourself in the succession pipeline for the Payment Ops Head role.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of payment processing specialists, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
• Manage day-to-day operations of payment processing, including transaction monitoring, verification, and settlement, while ensuring adherence to established procedures and service level agreements.
• Ensure compliance with international regulations, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and sanctions screening requirements, by implementing robust compliance controls and procedures.
• Continuously review and improve payment processing workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and minimize processing times, leveraging automation and technology solutions where applicable.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with overseas payments, such as currency exchange fluctuations, fraud, and operational disruptions, by implementing effective risk management strategies and controls.
• Manage stakeholders by maintaining close partnerships with Compliance, Products, Client Services, Sales, Regional Hubs, and other respective Regional Teams.
• Collaborate with external payment service providers, banks, and other partners to optimize payment processing capabilities, negotiate favorable terms, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to payment processing operations, analyze trends, and identify areas for improvement to drive operational excellence and meet organizational objectives.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by promptly addressing inquiries, resolving payment-related issues, and maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Generate regular reports on payment processing activities, transaction volumes, error rates, and other relevant metrics, providing insights and recommendations to management for decision-making purposes.
• Stay abreast of changes in payment regulations and industry best practices, proactively adapting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate regulatory risks.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members
• In-depth knowledge of international payment systems, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Fluent command of English writing and speaking

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• 10 years of experience in payment processing operations, with a focus on international payments is an advantage
• Proficiency in using payment processing software, financial systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. User tool knowledge (Alteryx/ Xceptor is a plus)

Job responsibilities:

• Be In-charge of the legal entity control functions for the branch
• Ensure compliance with the LEC Standards, Corporate Accounting and Control policies under US GAAP as well as local GAAP.
• Prepare, analyze, and submit the reports to the regulators timely and maintain high quality reporting standards & accuracy
• Participate in the implementation of new regulatory reporting requirements and automation process including development of Business Requirement Documents, UAT for regulatory reporting projects
• Participate in new business initiatives
• Liaise with the regulators, internal and external auditors
• Keep abreast with the recent regulatory banking and accounting changes/developments and analyze impacts, implement to comply
• Collaborate with tax teams to support tax returns and including VAT, WHT, CIT, Transfer Pricing, and other tax related tasks/queries).
• Coordinate in expense process and management
• Support senior LEC/Managers in other ad-hoc tasks, projects assigned

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related discipline
• 3 plus years of experience in accounting, finance, or banking
• Good knowledge of local GAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP
• Broad understanding of local regulations pertaining to banking industry
• Possess strong communication, inter-personal and organizational skills
• Good computer skills - strong in MS Excel and MS Word
• Analytical, end-to-end process and process enhancement mindset
• Self-starter and team player
• High level of fluency in Vietnamese, and English skills (speaking, reading, writing)

• Holder or student of Professional qualification e.g. ACCA, CPA is an asset
• Knowledge/experience with one or several dash-boarding/automation tools (Tableau, Alteryx, UIpath etc.) is an asset
