What You’ll Be Doing:

• Participate and contribute in product and process Feasibility Reviews

• Acquire and analyze process and product data; make recommendations based on the analysis of these results

• Create and implement new procedures through verbal and written instruction to Production Staff

• Participate in the design and implementation of preventative and corrective actions

• Guide other team members as appropriate and required

• Develop and update Advanced Product Quality Planning documentation such as Process Flow Diagrams, Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Process Control Plans, Process Sheet documents and others when required.

• Verify the accuracy and approve product documents as required

• Work with Production and Quality to aid in the troubleshooting of production parts and processes; providing support where needed

• Work on multiple product lines where opportunities exist

• All other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

• Technician or Technologist in a Metallurgical, Materials or Mechanical discipline

• C.E.T. designation eligibility considered an asset

• Must be an individual with a practical hands-on approach and strong organizational skills

• Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment such as Automotive

• Demonstrated experience in establishing and working with timelines to achieve objectives

• Strong Computer Literacy. Good knowledge of MS Excel and similar Microsoft products

• Working knowledge in the use of AutoCad

• Working knowledge of basic statistical methods for data analysis and comparisons

• Basic ability to read technical drawings

• Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation
• Improve gauges and methods to meet quality targets
• Conduct GRR studies and ensure correct gauge selection for production
• Monitor quality and capability data, issue alerts, and communicate trends
• Resolve internal quality issues and support scrap reduction initiatives
• Direct workers in product measurement and testing
• Participate in external quality issue resolution and Fast Response activities
• Compile training materials and conduct quality control training sessions
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management and Environmental Health & Safety Systems

• Champion CI projects and lead teams with scrap reduction goals

• Interact and engagement with customers to address customer quality or concerns promptly.

• College Diploma or University Degree in a technical discipline
• 1–3 years of experience in a quality engineering role in manufacturing
• Experience in automotive parts manufacturing quality assurance
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CMM Programming
• Excellent math, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
• Proficient in English (spoken and written)
• Knowledge of statistical software ex. Minitab and understanding of process capabilities

• Powder Metal manufacturing or machining experience would be asset

• Excellent computer skills knowledge in Microsoft Office programs, Power BI and CMM Programming

• Professional designation as a Quality Engineer (ASQ and/or CQE)
• Experience with training development and internal audits

As our next, you’ll design and implement control systems for new machinery, troubleshoot and modify existing systems, and lead automation projects. Your expertise in PLC programming, robotics, and electrical systems will be key to driving innovation and maintaining operational excellence.

• Design, develop, and implement control systems
• Program PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, ControlLogix), HMIs, servo systems, and robotics
• Coordinate machine startups and process launches
• Design control panels, wiring diagrams, and BOMs
• Utilize Wonderware software and other automation tools
• Train maintenance personnel on automation systems
• Mentor licensed electricians in PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Support automation cell improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality systems
• Perform other duties as assigned

• University degree in Electrical Engineering or College diploma
• 5+ years of experience in controls and data acquisition in automotive manufacturing
• Ability to lead projects and work within multidisciplinary teams
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and related software
• Effective communication skills across all organizational levels

• Administer the EtQ document control system, support training and troubleshooting
• Maintain IATF-compliant internal audit systems and oversee Layered Audits
• Develop, lead, and report results of internal audits to management
• Maintain archived data and documentation per customer and IATF requirements
• Collect, analyze, and report customer scorecard and supplier scorecard data
• Administer Engineering Change Control (Mod Note) system
• Maintain and track documentation revisions using EtQ and other platforms
• Participate in APQP and Continuous Improvement teams
• Ensure adherence to Quality Management System and Environmental, Health & Safety Systems
