Working as part of a a highly respected and industry leading team, you will ensure efficient and fully confirgured solution delivery and engagement with our userbase through the deployment and support lifecycle of a contract .

Your remit will include:

• Client Engagement, developing and maintaining working relationships with clients (internal to Jacobs and external).
• Provide technical system and data advice, facilitating achievement of both client and project objectives - seen as a trusted advisor.
• Undertake client surveys to ensure their expectations are met through detailed requirements capture, configuration and delivery and feed back through Technical/Operations leads.
• Manage tasks associated to the deployment of a Record instance, through to support activities.
• Manage time/cost budgets and ensuring deployment is aligned to scope, escalating where necessary
• Effectively translate client requirements to support platform delivery and identifing opportunities to enhance our offering or expand client use across wider platform use cases.
• Providing training and support to clients on the use, navigation, functions of our management system, addressing any technical queries..
• Preparing, reviewing, and validating management reports ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
• Escalating scope changes and identifying key trends to improve system efficiency.
• Monitor client performance metrics, contract review meetings, and document control processes.

The remit of this strategic role will include;

• Leading the growth of the Hydrology Team.
• Stakeholder interface and management across all technical and commercial matters.
• The Management and support of project teams, including coordinating planning and tender ( preparing schedule and scope of works).
• Provide technical leadership for hydrological studies including FRM, EIAs, Reservoir engineering, Low Flow, and Water Resources studies.
• Continuously develop Subject Matter Expertise in the application of UK Flood hydrologic analysis in line with escribed within Flood Estimation Handbook "FEH".
• Proactively contribute to the ongoing development of a supportive team environment, taking an active role in the mentoring and professional development of colleagues.
• Checking and reviewing calculations and technical deliverables
• writing and reviewing technical reports

The role will include:

Leading and delivering some of the most challenging, diverse and innovative infrastructure projects in Scotland. Presently, we are engaged on a variety of large projects including flood protection, renewable energy, highway, rail, and other infrastructure schemes. We have a diverse range of clients including RWE, Low Carbon, Historic Railways Estate, Transport Scotland, BEAR Scotland, Scottish Gas Networks, Highlands & Islands Airports, Network Rail, National Grid and a number of Local Authorities.

• Using your experience in Environmental Impact Assessment, Habitats Regulations Appraisal and Positive Effects for Biodiversity / Biodiversity Net Gain.
• Working in multidisciplinary teams – quickly building rapport and trust to ensure that terrestrial ecology requirements are recognised, acknowledged and constraints acted upon.
• Designing ecological monitoring programmes – developing survey programmes, leading and/or managing survey teams and being responsible for high quality data collection.
• Leading from the front – managing large-scale projects and being the first point of contact in the provision of expert advice to both clients and stakeholders.
• Develop networks across disciplines within the business - many of our projects are complex in nature and you will be required to work with other disciplines to create effective solutions. Creating an environment accessible to other specialists is essential to our project success, particularly when working across different geographies and cultures.
• A willingness to both learn from and mentor others – developing and sharing skills that build team and individual resilience. This will include engagement with our global communities of practice, externally facing communications (conferences, presentations, client meetings) and training events.

As part of a wider team of 2000 you will work collaboratively with our Customers you will bring together a diverse team of environmental specialists, your role will include;

• Embedding environment and sustainability into the design and delivery of our projects.
• Managing Environmental Impact Assessments, Planning and Consents outputs in line with all governance and compliance processes and activities.
• Take a lead role in stakeholder engagement and consultations, including statutory authorities such as Local Authorities, Government Agencies, SEPA etc.
• Develop and manage a consultative collaborative approach to the successful delivery of public consultations.
• Manage the preparation and submission of planning and environmental consenting applications to the appropriate statutory authorities, ensuring compliance with the relevant legislative requirements.
• Support Environmental Consenting and Compliance activities as required.
