Responsibilities include:

• Guide and direct projects to successful technical outcomes and will be entrusted with ensuring quality of technical deliverables and peer/practice review activities for work prepared by more junior or less experienced colleagues’ deliverables. This includes participating proactively mentoring staff in the WTE and biomass technology areas, as well as within the generation transition (thermal) technologies community of practice (CoP)
• Develop Jacobs’ capabilities and reputation in Southeast Asia, New Zealand, and Australia
• Drive business development and be responsible for work winning, identifying the next opportunities and supporting the pursuit stages of opportunities:
• Bid preparation and submittal as required, supporting the section leader, project managers in the delivery of financially successful projects.
• Develop and maintain strong key client relationships – act as a trusted advisor to a select group of Jacobs’ key clients across the public and private sector.
• Maintain regular communication with the Team/Section Lead to ensure alignment with business goals, monitor time and workload to anticipate capacity needs, and balance deliverables with available time.
• Promote safety culture within the organisation and with our clients.
• Support the Performance Unit (PU) to ensure it can thrive in a global setting, encouraging cross-geography relationships order to maximise the benefit of global delivery to our clients and our people.

Main duties:

• Working with the Project Manager on contract management, carrying out site supervision of contractors’ teams
• Enter the manhole or sewer for inspection when necessary.
• Review Contractor submissions and assess progress claims with QS.
• Manage and work closely with RTOs, STOs, WSHOs and PROs assigned to the project
• Systematically manage and update daily data on all records pertaining to the programme.

The individual would fulfill the role of
enior Geotechnical Engineer-Maritimeon maritime engineering projects, exhibiting strong technical skills and team participation to help drive projects toward successful completion. You will report day-to-day operations to the Team Leader of Ports & Maritime, Malaysia and will report to the Technical Director of Ports & Maritime.

The work would be principally based in our design office and key responsibilities will include:

• Geotechnical analysis and design
• data gathering and interpretation
• specification and interpretation of ground investigation
• FE modelling (Plaxis or similar)
• Calculations, Design drawings, and Technical report writing
• Specifications for construction and technical presentations to clients and in-house.

be able to demonstrate most of the following skills and knowledge such as ;

• In-depth capability in geotechnical modelling, analysis and design of earth retaining structures (for quay walls), piles (for jetties), slope stability (for revetments, breakwaters), settlement and bearing capacity analysis (for reclamations)
• Detailedknowledge of relevant standards and performing engineering calculations, preparing design drawings
