Key Responsibilities

BIM Model Integration & Optimization

Develop and implement automation scripts for BIM model import from various CAD software to Unreal Engine

Create optimized FME scripting for BIM/CAD translations to Unreal Engine

Implement 3D optimization techniques for texturing and split by level functionality

Build asset tagging systems for ground collisions and other model elements

Develop technical review processes and milestone tracking

Visual & UI Development

Create realistic lighting and environment artistry with real-time materials

Develop visual data preparation pipelines for real-time linking of asset models

Design and implement UI and API data integrations

Create sample renders and flythrough sequences

Implement day/night and lighting modes

Navigation & User Interaction

Develop comprehensive navigation systems including:

Top of page navigation

Building level navigation

Web links integration for all assets

Create and optimize right-hand panel functionality:

Engineering options

Echo Area and filter tools

EDIS integration

TechOne integration

Time of day and weather selector

ACC & Pointerra integration

Building options menu

Floating replica integration

Technical Requirements & Testing

Conduct testing and optimization of the entire digital twin system

Ensure real-time performance optimization across various device specifications

Document technical processes and create milestone deliverables

Provide UI/UX features assistance when needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain customer-facing features, including both frontend and backend components, in the StreetLight SaaS web applications (InSight and Construction) and their analytics data pipeline
• Interface among our San Francisco, Vancouver, Bangalore, and Eastern European teams, and mentor more junior engineers
• Deliver product releases and fixes to production as needed
• Write automated unit tests and participate in peer design and code reviews
• Collaborate daily with the other developers and QA engineers on the team, as well as with Product Management
• Productize analytics models from the Data Science and Data Engineering team
• Tune StreetLight InSight Planning and Streetlight Insight Operations for performance, scalability, and reliable operation to serve our growing customer base
• Assist Support and Operations in resolving production issues when needed, and improve the product to avoid them in the future

Develop desktop and web applications, software, and scripts to enhance project delivery and communication between existing and new software (e.g., data capture and imports, process automation, calculation tools, plug-ins, CAD APIs, scripts).

• Work with platforms and tools like Viktor, Autodesk, and Bentley to build apps, plug-ins, and add-ons.

• Participate in global initiatives to design, develop, and execute software solutions to address business needs (e.g., workflows, libraries, databases).

• Collaborate with other developers, Product Owners, Delivery Leads, and Scrum Masters to work under best practices or suggest possible improvements.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation for tools and software.
